Don't make a game with AAA-wannabe photorealistic graphics if you can't make animations to match them, simple as.Oh my god just listen to yourselves. "Mah FPS! Mah animashions!". The fuck are you even talking about you retards? WHO GIVES A SHIT? Who fucking talked about animations in older games?
The current generation of gamers is a fucking clown fiesta.
"omg the grass looks so bad my eyes bleed! refunded!"
"animashons are so CLUNKY its from 2010! waste of money"
"what is wrong with shadows? they have a suspicios colour. not like!"
I want to puke listening to all this drivel.
It is about being incompetent fuck. They've produced really bad trailer with 5 FPS video sequence, like they didn't watch the video at all? Or are they blind or just lacking of talent? I've never saw Monomyth or Manor Lords devs showing such clusterfuck promotional videos.Oh my god just listen to yourselves. "Mah FPS! Mah animashions!". He got hit with the vampire curse of low frames. Is it just me or is 1:49 looking like a 5 FPS slideshow? Probably should've been left off the trailer tbh.
Huh? Literally nobody talked about animations here in the last two pages before your post, which means since February.Oh my god just listen to yourselves. "Mah FPS! Mah animashions!". Why is this set in medieval times instead of modern times?
Like back when the first trailer for Veilguard dropped.Alright let's not get all doom and gloom over one bad trailer jfc
Oh come on not the same thing at allLike back when the first trailer for Veilguard dropped.Alright let's not get all doom and gloom over one bad trailer jfc
There's really only a handful of reasons that I can think of for using Earth as the setting but setting it in the past instead of the present or future, given that secondary world medieval fantasy is oversaturated already. Why not set it in a secondary world like The Witcher rather than a period in Earth's past? Unless the evidence was wiped away or this goes into alternate history territory, this would create problems with history since by modern times nobody has records of a vampire invasion during the plague. The best that I can think of is that the creative director wanted to keep the setting grounded, so the easiest way to do that was to use Earth's history. So there's no elves, dragons, etc. in the same numbers as a generic medieval fantasy. This also opens the possibility for sequels set in different historical periods using the rich tapestry of Earth's history, which allows the devs to save time on worldbuilding since they can just take Earth's history and add fantasy elements that weren't recorded in official histories. Why is this set in medieval times instead of modern times?
Guillaume Broche's original pitch for Expedition 33 was a steampunk Victorian England with zombies, aliens, and various things. A call with potential investors inspired Broche to "think bigger" and give us the game we got. It seems to me that it is unfortunate Konrad Tomaszkiewicz either did not receive the same call or did not have the same humility that Broche had. To realize his game looks too generic.
But this isn't just "a period in Earth's past". This is pretty much an alternative reality already, even if it nominally takes place on "Earth". No need to say "actually, this is a secondary world".Why not set it in a secondary world like The Witcher rather than a period in Earth's past?
I don’t make the genre definitions and they’re fuzzy anyway. It doesn’t count as secondary world fantasy. It doesn’t count as alternate history (yet). Don’t argue with me, argue with whoever is assigning the definitions. But this isn't just "a period in Earth's past". The point is there is no need to define anything here. It is not like this is going to be some "hard fantasy".I don’t make the genre definitions and they’re fuzzy anyway. More like the classic.A game where you actually play a human vampire hunter would be original, being that it hasn't been really done in over a decade or more?

I expect the same needlessly edgy grimdark fantasy middle age universe from the Witcher universe. Every peasant is an intolerent idiot, women are cunning and kind of awesome. Why is this set in medieval times instead of modern times?
cuz it's vampire witcher from ex witcher 3 devs
