Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
The demo is now an old build, yet I found it inspired and interesting even if limited. This afternoon I chatted with the developer on Discord, and a new demo build with many additions is on its way, although he still has some details to fix. The release in EA on Steam is tentatively expected by the end of the year.

Hey guys!

I'm the developer of The Bloodline. I'd love to answer any questions you have about the game, just shoot them my way!

Gameplay video of a very old build, but I think it still renders the game vision and ambition:

This build was one of the VERY first public builds. This was like 1 year into development with a barely functioning build LOL. It was definitely too early to give it to a streamer to play.
So for what it's worth, the game has been reshaped dramatically to lean into its strengths as you can probably tell from the more recent gameplay bits!

When You plan to give us EA or complete game, can't wait to buy it and give it a try. Game looks gorgeus.
Thank you so much!!
I'm trying my best to have it ready for EA sometime this year. There have been some hiccups along the way, but I'm trying to power through and get it as polished as possible!

Really put off by the horrific cartoony art design, hope the game's got solid mechanics & systems going for it, at least.

No need for the harshness! I think the style is charming - not only does it allow more enemies to be on screen, it also makes it easier for me to work with since I'm a solo dev, too.

Didn't mean to hurt yore feelings, chap, just providing honest feedback, is all. To me, it looks really bad and could be one of the reasons for not buying the game, and I am no graphics whore by any stretch, quite the contrary. Oh well, at least you've not gone for that "pixelartsy" look that seems to be the go-to woke choice of today.

Is this one of those one man project that will be stuck and unfinished for years and the developer will close developing and selling it with half hassed mechanics, like the game called "the frontier"?

Welcome to the Codex! You're bound to get a lot of comments, much of which can be harsher than what vazha said, but with a thick enough skin, you'll be able to sift through the cynicism and find some good opinions.

Regardless, I've wishlisted this and will give the demo a shot this weekend. Looks good enough IMO!
