I made this thread in SCIENCE!!1 which discussed two peer reviewed studies in mainstream scientific publications, contrasting the ancestry of two different populations. Since it was in SCIENCE!!1, I kept it really boring and avoided any sort of speculation or conclusions that might have been dubiously scientific. It didn't even pertain to anything controversial, like race differences in capabilities. But it mentioned race, so it was immediately moved to GD (and the decline tag was added).

I didn't really mind all that much, but it would be better to get these restrictions out in the open. If I was going to post the thread in GD or politics, I might have made it more speculative and interesting. But it was really a better fit for SCIENCE!!1, according to the rules as I understood them, so I kept it boring. It still got moved.

Half the replies you quoted were from trolls who disapproved of the thread's existence. The move to GD was requested in the second reply to the thread and several people responded to that. If you allow trolls to get a SCIENCE thread moved out of the SCIENCE forum, then the terrorists trolls win.

Is SCIENCE supposed to maintain a tone? If so then the trolls were in the wrong. Is SCIENCE supposed to be a free for all? Then no harm done if there is a little trolling.

DarkUnderlord, if it weren't for the donations would the codex be sustainable on its own (with ads, of course).
Have you looked into alternative methods of gaining money, like writing paid reviews better advertisement deals? I am sure there must be other ways to monetize on the Codex's growing popularity besides donors.
