ok so it's unrelated to me killing the other keeper?Keep playing, you'll find out later on. This is one of the few parts of the story you actually get your face shoved into.

Not really. You either find it as an item or some enemies occasionally drop humanity, such as giant rats, three of which spawn under the bridge with the red dragon. Later on you can join a covenant that gives you an item that lets you steal humanity from npcs.I've just lost 6 humanity to the bell gargoyles and I can't play online as I pirated it, is there a decent way to get humanity back outside of online?
The dead firekeeper at Firelink should have dropped a black bead item. Hold onto it.ok so it's unrelated to me killing the other keeper?Keep playing, you'll find out later on. This is one of the few parts of the story you actually get your face shoved into.

That's somekind of a relief, although I'm afraid farming them would leave me with a shitton of souls and thus make the game much easier because of being overleveled.I've just lost 6 humanity to the bell gargoyles and I can't play online as I pirated it, is there a decent way to get humanity back outside of online?
farm rats in the depths (plenty of them near the bonfire there), baby skellies in the tomb of giants (they respawn constantly without the need to go to a bonfire), or those "humanity sprite things" in the new dlc area (chasm of the abyss). the 1st option is the earliest, although it has the lowest drop rate, 2nd is the easiest
re: capra, since i've seen it mentioned a couple of times in this topic: have you guys noticed that in the pc version as soon as you enter the fog your rushed by only one and not 2 dogs? i've tried it 2-3 times in co-op and twice on my save and it's always only one dog rushing at the start, unlike the 2 cunts in the console version :/

Are the droprates related to humanity only or you have to be in human form AND have a good a mount of humanity to get good drops?
Serious question, why does the game look so sharp and good in your screenshot?Hahaha. My Dark Souls buddy is gonna shit. I remember him talking about getting his ass handed to him by capra demon when he was playing on console, he was getting furious at how much he was getting killed. I just bumbled into capra demon while exploring the lower level of undead burg and killed him my first time. Probably toughest fight I've had so far though, burned through my healing.
You're using the resolution fix right?Serious question, why does the game look so sharp and good in your screenshot?
Agreed, it's really well done for the most part. Visual design of the enemies, too. And whoever designed the "Dungeon"/game world deserves big props. I'm not sure if it's actually all a (Mostly) seamless connected lump or if there are hidden teleports in there. Like does the elevator from the church actually take you straight down to the hub world or is there a tricksy part where it flips.Damn, I love the armor and weapon design in this game.

Seriously? I just beated the Chimera and now I'm getting my ass kicked by him, he fights in a insane way! Now I realy must kill him! Also, sweet jesus the Abyss Greatsword is the coolest thing ever. You can get it by going to Giant Blacksmith and combing +10 greatsword with soul of Artorias. Even lets you do those powerful flip and spin slashes the boss used.
Yeah, it's pretty sweet. My favorite is the two-handed forward flip jump slash. Clears a good distance, is fast, and hits hard as fuck. I slayed Seath the Scaleless in under 30 seconds with this thing.Seriously? I just beated the Chimera and now I'm getting my ass kicked by him, he fights in a insane way! I would say that in my 15 or so attempts to kill this fucker, half the time both dogs were rushing to me from the beginning of the fight. It was too random for my taste and i'm glad that it was the only fight for now that was somewhat luck dependent (I'm just outside the Blightown after killing Gaping Dragon and butterfly thingy in the gardens).
Yeah, it's pretty effective. No silly shit like enemies boasting how powerful they are and how badly they're going to fuck you up (Diablo 3). In Dark Souls they simply do it without a word, just standing there not moving a muscle, silently daring the player to come try and fuck with them. It's amazing how quickly it can get the anxiety going.I really like how they make you fear enemies, making stuff like a huge hall with a guy clearly standing in the middle of it... you know that guy is gonna be tough
