Hey,why don't we do a short review for the game and give it 1.0?We could post Angthoron's review and slap 1.0 at the bottom.
Nobody would care, Angthoron is not a "proper" game journalist and this site does not affect the Metacritic score.
Not to mention they could take the review out of metacritic if the score is too low. Jim Sterling gave Kane and Lynch 2 a 1.0 and metacritic take out the review, probably because of complaints from IO and Squeenix

"defining game of this generation" indeed...
How can a game define a generation if it comes at the end of a generation? :retarded:
By "define a generation" he means the game that payed most Doritos in this generation. Generation defining games are as common as Citzen Kane games.

I might be happier if game journos diDd a word puzzle where they hid a codOe in the article with the spelling erRrors, once you find all the letters it makes a word, and the word is related to a nuImeric score. At least people who wanted to know the scoTre they would have to read the article, eventually you'd have people that can read spoiling the puzzle for others bOut at least it would encourage some people to actively pay attention to Swhat is being said, even if its merely for typographical errors.

96 on metacritic , 100/100 from most reviewers. Lowest is 7.5 by 1 reviewer, guess they didn't pay enough in doritos, Mittin dew must flow !!!!!!!!

I had a conversation about this with a friend at work who is really looking forward to the game. He was telling me how it's practically the top-rated game since Ocarina of Time (which he never played) and implied that this meant the game was going to be Awesome with a capital A. I then informed him that it is part of the contractual agreement made between reviewers and games publishers that early reviews are only allowed if they are either from very big sites (Gamespot), or feature very high scores (usually 90+).

He was genuinely surprised to learn that game reviews, especially on Metacritic, were hand-picked in this manner. He also didn't seem to initially realize that Metacritic's representation of all scores on a 100-point scale is extremely misleading, because most sites do not feature a 100-point scale (usually 10 or 5 points instead), and thus "5 stars" does not have the same meaning as "100 out of 100."

In other words, high Metacritic score means nothing until the game actually comes out and people who didn't shower it with praise can actually voice their opinions on it, and seeing rows of 100s doesn't mean that those critics literally gave the game "100%".

Hey! RE4 wasn't shit, it was good for an action game except parts with that idiotic girl. Definitely worth 6/10 considering the competition.

It was a shit game that destroyed survival horror. Words cannot express my hatred for it.

Oh, but resident evil wasn't a survival horror? They have always been a action games with zombies and after zombies become overly popular they lost their horror value.
Survival horror was silent hill and they fucked that series.

RESIDENT EVIL were survival horror games. As far as I'm aware you don't have to kill any zombies in the original except the bosses. Doesn't killing less zombies get you a better rating at the end? You can't even move to a new area without killing all the zombies in RE4-6.

And the first two games were "defining" games for the PlayStation and Resident Evil 2 remains the highest selling game of the series.

Resident Evil was survival horror you fucking piece of ....ugh! Stop making up stupid shit just to look like someone who has very refined taste when it comes to survival horrors. Oh, and I bet Planescape Torment is only an adventure game for you?

I you think that than you will love the Last of Us, because it is a better action game, with better controls, and has at least some survival elements. Unlike RE4 which was a pure action game (that also killed the franchise).
