You know, there's three EMP grenades in the FEMA facility alone...

The way you use stealth in the boss battles is to get away from where they think you are, you don't just run around invisible pouring shots into them.

7 seconds per cell, meaning indefinitely as long as you have energy bars, five of which fit into a single inv slot. unless you are an obnoxious collector of every bottle of alk and every useless weapon, you should have more than enough energy bars to remain cloaked whenever you need it. same for double takedowns.
on a related note, i never had anyone but the boss chick with smgs cloak and never fought any robots either. funny how different approaches lead to apparently very different gameplay experience, just like in deus ex. no, wait, i did fight one robot when i saved malik... but then i just reloaded and watched her being dragged out of the flier and getting executed from the elevator. good times.

Spec Ops ? Cloak ? When, where, what? I don't remember them from my first run.

  5. There are baddies what can cloak and fire while cloaked.

Yeah and there was a rocket launcher in the gang territories, maybe I should have picked that up. I didn't think it would be very useful because what the hell I'm going to use an anti-tank weapon for? Well against FF7 characters, that's what, should discard useless junk like shotguns because what the hell could you kill with a puny weapon like a shotgun?

Giant Robot, EMP grenade, a gatling turret, EMP grenade, it seems like pretty straightforward to me. Jensen is an augment who dies roughly in one or two shots, so why the hell would I assume that none of those weapons that do that are actually good enough to kill other augments?

Also, you're taken in by a cutscene, of course, why the hell not, just so that you can't look around, retreat, shoot the guys in the elevator (though I'd doubt that'd do anything unless you had nuclear weapons), whatever. Anything to take the control from the player in favour of bullshit.

But... You trigger the alarm if you use the EMP grenades! Why would you do that? Not to mention it's much less of a hassle to begin with to just avoid the robot and use the heavy weight aug to reposition the turret into a corner.

Also, the Dermal Armor aug improves Jensen's resilience a lot.

    Wait a second.

Did you folks notice the rollers to the left when you enter the FEMA facility?

You could just jump over them and cross that whole area in 45 seconds. No fighting involved against the robot.

And once you kill Barrett, you can retrace your steps and get back every item you wanted, but missed because you played it safe.

You mean the place where the guards activated the robot? Yeah, i stacked a crate with power arm aug. climbed on top of it. Dropped some stuff to grab the Rocket Launcher, then just tap space to switch between covers. Easy peasy.

I'm so disappointed that after those tedious boss fights the last boss was so easy I didn't even have to reload.

Yeah that's what I did. Never bothered drawing attention to myself with fighting the robot like that.

^I personally liked the last boss fight. I mean for once it was a fight that was spread out over a map instead of just spamming some mook with 5 times the normal HP.

It had a lot more potential than the other boss fights. Like if they had added extra things like sneaking around the map to activate stuff to fight it, or hacking into computers to shut down the individual nodes along with the combat aspect it could've actually been a pretty good way to integrate boss battles with the multipath approach.

Same, just went input the code and then i fired mah lazor on the chink bitch,
boss battles in HR can be bit confusing at first, but when you know what to do they are just piss easy,
    Show Spoiler
Barrett- throw poision, throw explosive, repeat, Yelena - hop until the bitch fry itself near that computers/whatever, Namir - you can just spam him with granade launcher without even making a fucking move

While the endgame its self was meh, the ending monologues where nice

As for the game itself, it was a nice game with good atmosphere, but with shitty AI and suffering from next-gen crap disease

O yea and the graphic where shit :M

And always when i heard/saw Prichard i just called him Prickard

It also bears mention that you can steamroll the bosses easily using the Typhoon, which you really don't need anywhere else. Currently sitting on 15 rounds when I returned to Detroit.

I don't even feel like carrying other guns than a maxed out upgraded pistol. It's just depressing. I can see the usefulness of sniper, but the bulkiness turns me off. And the AP mod for the pistol you get in your apartment? Bullshit powerful when you just use stealth to headshot from range even without cover pops.

Also, spamming mines is so effective in boss fights, it's like a grenade that can't miss. Definitely just stock up on EMP or Frag Mines to make life less of a bitch when dealing with augmented bosses. They blow up the mine, get stunned, you walk up to them and tap them with a Typhoon. Done.

    Has anybody tried this?

Jump from a great height using augmentations to protect your landing and keep your landing silent.

Land in the middle of half a dozen armed men.

    Use Typhoon immediately on landing.

I made a few attempts to do that in Alice Grass Pods after the TYM attack, but to no avail. Came close, but it requires timing and not slipping onto a higher area than where you intended to land.

Has anyone actually figured out what the goal is during the final boss fight? As far as I could tell, all I had to do was kill the girls in the pods, then wait a long while/kill off the forces summoned in before the shield overloaded and pump Zhao full of lead. Is there any easier way to do it, or faster? I know you can hack the terminals around the area, for instance, but I have absolutely no fucking clue what any of those things do.

Yep, it works, there's just very few opportunities to actually use that tactic.

If you have a laser rifle you can just shoot Zhao immediately.

I don't think you need to keep your landing silent. If you have the fall from any height augmentation, you can just hold down the left mouse button to stun all the enemies around you and then use the Typhoon after that.

There's no reason it shouldn't work, but the only time I actually used the Typhoon was boss fights and saving Malik.

yeah, the stun is far more effective than trying to land silently as it doesn't drain any power.

I never used a typhoon. I always sold off the ammo. Actually I never used any type of active augmentation. All I need is a silenced, armor-piercing 10mm, emp granades and fall-from-high-heights perk. I died like 3 times in the beginning because I shortcutted down to the lobby.
