While the game's mediocre showing may be smugly satisfying, the fact that popamole shill reviewers are calling it "too old-school" (I genuinely don't believe these people have played anygoodold-school games) while Codexers and other grouchy fucks blast it for being too popamole is probably bad news in the long run.
somebody says "worse than fallout 3". those are harsh words. So is this a worse necroing than Jagged Alliance: BIA or Shadowrun FPS?

do it and post impressionsI'll be honest. I never really played any game in the Thief series. I do own them on GoG though.
And I am actually tempted to play them in this order : 4=>3=>1=>2 for the pretty same reason a Star Wars marathon should begin by the prequel trilogy : it only gets better and better.
Man, Back In Action was at least playable and even enjoyable if it's treated as a separate game that has little to no ties to JA.somebody says "worse than fallout 3". those are harsh words. So is this a worse necroing than Jagged Alliance: BIA or Shadowrun FPS?

Dark Souls disagrees.

Would have been equally slammed for being too old-school, confusing and difficult, if not for the fact that it was marketed as such, and managed to make the difficulty a hip and trendy thing. If not for this message, majority of players and reviewers would've quit before Taurus Demon.

Case in point: Demons Souls sold like shit and it's a miracle it got a sequel at all.

Fallout 3 is infinitely better (never thought I'd say this ) than Thi4f, even if I really hate it. It's playable, the wasteland's elements are there - they suck, but they are there - and even if I truly don't care about/hate those people, it managed to entertain immensely all the newshit dumbfucks that would never play the originals in the first place. Thi4f is so shit, I doubt it will manage to please even the most incurable of today's retards. There really is nothing to like on it, this game is the finest example to date of how disastrous it can get when you make these abominations that dumb down every single mechanic its claws can reach. It backfired really hard on Eidos, no overdose of doritos can make you stand this.
hahahahahhahahahahhhahahaThe map actually tells you where you can rope arrow? Oh my...
it's 1 million total without marketing.500,000 copies in the first year.
After you finish 3, and then start 1, you'll have a smile on your face.I'll be honest. I never really played any game in the Thief series. I do own them on GoG though.

Also, the original games follow Garret's story consistently.
Assuming that DS is not a game made from AAA budgets and advertising, and being a niche, PS3 exclusive game, that is not a bad number. How much did it sell? While the game's mediocre showing may be smugly satisfying, the fact that popamole shill reviewers are calling it "too old-school" (I genuinely don't believe these people have played anygoodold-school games) while Codexers and other grouchy fucks blast it for being too popamole is probably bad news in the long run.
