Bought a copy of Frozen Synapse, have to keep up my reputation of being a true retard Steam bro.
Speaking of being true retard Steam bro, figured this out a few days ago via Steamcalc.

"Found 380 Games with a value of
$4858.71 USD"

Then I bothered to go through my order history on Steam and add up all my purchases (Actual total might be a bit lower since I've hosted some split game bundles, but I didn't bother checking all that) which came out to $1821 since I made my Steam account in 2005. So roughly $5 spent per game, $300 per year.

 :salute:

Son of a bitch. Tempted to snap up all the Tom Clancy packs. Probably don't need to be spending $45 on that crap though.

Ghost Recon is a poor man's version of Delta Force.

And Rainbow Six stuff? Bah, why couldn't there be RB6 and Raven Shield? They're the good games of the series.

Fucketh me! I didn't realise this mediocre writer managed to get his name placed on so many game titles.

Umm, look at the very bottom? I think i saw Rainbow Six 3 Gold for 1,69? I think it's fucking worth it. Hell i own it already, but i bought it for the additional Gold content.

And by the way, the Raven Shield 2.0 mod is available again. Grab it while you can before Ubisoft finds out

So Thief: Deadly Shadows for 4 euro, worth it? I've been interested on having a look at the thief games but I have heard that while the old games are supposedly great the new ones are shit. So which category does this one fall under?

Don't listen to the naysayers. Although T1-2 is better, T3 is good to. I would gladly buy it on steam if I hadn't owned it 2 times already.

Yes, definitely. Grab the high-res textures for models & environments as well (same chap who did the high-res System Shock 2 stuff).

Though far below the quality of Thief/Gold/2, it's still an excellent game with one or two memorable levels.

This.

Let us know when you've played the mission called Robbing the Cradle ;)

Yeah, Deadly Shadows isn't as good as the other Thiefs, but for that price you can't go wrong. It uses the same crappy souped-up version of Unreal Engine 2 that Deus Ex: Invisible War does, but it ends up using the technology a lot more effectively, and it's a slow enough game that the smaller levels don't have as much of an impact.

Never understood the bashing T3 got, it's a good game.
Not the best in the series, but still good enough to warrant a try, esp. for 4 bucks.

Didn't like RS3, it wasn't the same for me. I do have it, DVD is hanging around somewhere. Might check that mod out though, thanks. Hm, and I might have mis-spoke and mixed Rogue Spear with Raven Shield, too.

Thanks for the link. How good is the game with that mod?

Red Faction stuff is on sale this weekend. Already tried Guerilla a year ago which I found to be a horrendous console port but how are the first two games? They're $2.50 each.

If you were getting the "Game running too fast" error, they finally patched that. If that wasn't your issue with Guerrilla then nothing's changed, though.

No, I just think Guerilla is horrible from the cover shooter combat to the sluggish PC controls to the GTA style missions.

There's cover shooting in Guerrilla? Only played like an hour or two but didn't see that.

Thought there was but it's probably been a year since I played so I could be remembering it wrong. Combat was shitty, though, that I do remember.

Guerrilla is great. Blowing shit up is a novelty I can stand behind. 1 was decent and 2 is horrible but neither of them use destructable environments as well as the third.

There's cover shooting if you want to use it. Generally not recommended.

Regarding the Red Faction - first game is pretty neat, second is pretty meh, Guerilla is alright if it fits your bill - it's just shooting shit and blowing shit up and destroying skyscrapers with plastic explosives and a Big Hammer.

I found it pretty entertaining, though at times annoying. Dunno about cover shooting, never used it.

How is that even remotely Magic style? It's just poker.

Well it's a role playing-esque card game, and I did say combo~

But it's just Poker where you do damage to the opponent if you win, instead of take their money / chips. There's nothing Magic-like there. You can't even play it online. This is one of the most useless entries I've ever seen. :M
