Why is there a giant tentacle going after Gaben in the banner now?
Maybe it just wants some games? Or maybe it's symbolism for the Epic Games Store in vein of WW1 propaganda posters?

Btw. found how to download the videos each day, just open the Source code and search for "page_bg_english" to get the day's code:

I mean, if you can pull a bowstring, you can probably work with a guitar string.

bought rocksmith for 15 NZ

will come in handy for when i never learn how to play guitar

Fondly remember all that butthurt coming from guitarists hating people playing on plastic toys.
They could not process the fact that it takes too much time and just lost themselves in the sea of spit and venom.

Learning to play by using midi/tab reader software or something like rocksmith (which is basically a very limited guitar pro with fancy graphics as far as I know) is a bad idea, at least it was for me. After a half year of zero progress trying to play guitar riffs in my bedroom I said fuck it and went for a few lessons to a local bard music club. I felt stupid because I was the oldest person here (18 yo me among 13 yo kids), but no regrets because just watching another person play and getting tips from an experienced player is much more productive than trying to mimic the notes flashing on screen. Maybe I'm just too low iq to self teach from zero level, but it's really much better to just find a teacher

I went the opposite route: Sitting in my room, learning tabs to my favorite songs. Combined with tabs, I would've loved to have taken classes and be around other people just learning to play guitar.

It also goes without saying that practicing every day will greatly help you in the long run. You need to stick with it.

So, I may have asked this before (sorry guys) but:
what about the Resident Evil franchise?

I've never played it and noticed there are remasters and/or remakes on Steam for PC.
The whole thing is a bit disorienting as there have been I don't know how many sequels, re-releases, re-editions or what have you.

Is it viable to start from the beginning with properly ported and updated titles?

Steam is becoming shittier by the day. Why must I scroll down across grayed-out areas where games I have ignored are placed? 2 out of 3 games right below the sale's banner are those which I have ignored (PUBG and No Man's Sky). Why is there an option to ignore anything at all then, if I will continue being spammed with this shit?

This is the first game, playing through it at the moment, got like 12 hours in:

It's basically the first Resident Evil released back in 1996, but Remastered with better textures and in HD (and some minor gameplay changes):

Then there's the Remake of Resident Evil 2 I'ma play after:

There's also constant news of a Resident Evil 3 Remake coming in 2020: https://www.gamesradar.com/resident-evil-3-remake-is-reportedly-coming-next-year/

After that there's Resident Evil Zero, which is a Prequel to the first game, but came out between 3 and 4 originally, which got a Remaster similar to the first:

And then come 4/5/6 in the main series, which were already PS3/X360 titles and are more Action than Survival-Horror focused, with Revelations between 5 and 6 and Revelations 2 between 6 and 7.

If you can stomach PS1 era graphics, I strongly recommend starting with the original.

Resident Evil remake (called Biohazard HD Remaster on steam) is a masterpiece, the best RE game and one of the best survival horror games ever. It also makes original RE 1996 completely obsolete. Play it.
Resident Evil 2 Remake (the one from 2019) is a great game, but it's way too different from original RE2 (1998). If you can pirate games, i suggest you to get your hands on original RE2 first.
Resident Evil 3 is not available anywhere. It's good.
Resident Evil Zero is okay (it's on steam). Check it out if you liked RE remake.
Resident Evil Code Veronica is one of the worst games in the series. Skip.
RE4 is second best game in series after RE1 Remake, though it's hated by purists because it's a third-person shooter.
RE5 is RE4, but with coop, and you kill black people while playing as a roided white guy.
RE6 is retarded michael bay explosion fest.
Resident Evil Revelations is not great, not terrible. It's a 3DS port, so be prepared for simplified mechanics. Check it out if you liked RE4.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 is a decent RE4-like game. No coop, no QTEs, no retarded action setpieces, focus on exploration, some half decent scares.
RE7 is okay, sort of return to the roots.

Thanks guys.
I think I'll probably get it this time (starting with the first remake).

Planning to round up my sale choices during the week-end :)
