TBH everything anyone's ever shown me of Deadpool, the game included, has me convinced that he's designed to appeal to 13 year olds and manchildren. OMG LOL SORANDOM WITH A SIDE OF EDGY HOLY SHIT 4TH WALL ROTFL. Maybe I've just been unlucky in what I've been shown, but the panels posted here aren't really convincing me of that.

I mean fuck, this trailer is one of the most tryhard things to come out of an industry chock-full of tryhard:

So it's some new age trying too hard to be hipster/self-aware sarcastic super hero comic? Gotcha.

It started as a self-aware character joking on how retarded the industry is... like when he killed Wolverine: "you don't survive because of your healing factor, but because you're popular. But here, on a alternate universe, not even fanboys care if you live or die."

But now the jokes on him, as he became extremely popular and Marvel milked him to death, doing every tired trope and trying to appeal to the lowest denominator, as always...

Cold War just released on Steam. Anyone know if it's any good? I had it years ago but couldn't get it running on my computer back then.

    Awesome

Yeah, that trailer was lame. I liked Deadpool better without the voice. This is just an over the top crowd pleaser for middle school boys and in no way makes me want to play the game.

Hey thanks for recommendation, I was looking for something new to play with my x360 pad. Didn't know anything about Deadpool, not a comic book fan, but game seems pretty fun from the start. Had some laughs exploring his apartment too. Some of the humor comes off as trying too hard, some of it works, either way I prefer this approach to retarded stories asking me to take them seriously. I had to chuckle at bits like him trying to eat pizza with his mask on.

About Deadpool's devs - they're looking for someone to using Radiant Engine, mostly knowed from... Call of Duty.
    Surprise big not.

What's worse - shutting down or send to the galley where they will make another part of this soap opera (even few years ahead) with endless crunches.

    Obviously, it is.
Still not that good as Death to Spies but definitely worth it.

Oh, only 3,5€? Then you shouldn't ask and just buy.

In the late 90s/early 00s Deadpool had an unhealthy obsession with Bea Arthur. One aspect of the character which was (fortunately) laid to rest with the real Bea Arthur when she died.

Anyone here remembers one of Deadpool's first appearances in X-Force about 20 years ago, during the Liefeld-era? There was no psychotic fourth-wall breaking humor back then, but instead he was laid out as one of the greatest hand-to-hand combatants on the planet, professional and to the point. Still mouthed off a bit, but nowhere like how he does now.

Sure, he was created by Liefeld. Of course he was AWESUM!!!

I personally liked Nicieza writing him the best.

Kinda reminds me of Saints Row in the retarded humour department... except shitty.

Hah! The publishers are the same people selling the shitty HD version. And the entire trilogy is there.

The trilogy pack is more expensive than buying each one separately, at least in brazilian dollars. Buy three games, pay for four!

    :yeah:

It's 2 dollars cheaper in the United States (and here). 10 bucks.

From few hours I played so far it's very much like Saints Row as far as tone is concerned. Deadpool is pretty much the same snarky psychopath as the dude you play in SR.
