From manual:
So we headed into Vegas and met a crime lord by the name of Faran Brygo.
Buahahahaa!
Was he a crime boss known for money extortion to make computer games?

that's a nice manual.
I like the BG2 manual-like quips from different characters. I wish they'd be funnier but at least there's some flavor in there.

Well if we're cleaning up typos here ... from page 21 ...

Coordination defines a Rangers' general motor skills,
both fine hand-eye coordination and sense of balance.
Coordination is the attribute of choice for any
gunslinger, as it is a minimum required attribute for a
variety of ranged weapons. Coordination gives medium
bonuses to Action Points, Ranged Hit

Luck is that undefinable innate something that just
makes life easier from some of us than for others. Luck
is ...

Coordination gives medium bonuses to Action Points, Ranged Hit What, and Something Else? Don't leave me in suspense!

Uh, I anticipated more enjoyable manual. It's better than Divinity's except the layout and design, though.

I hope Torment or their third RPG would have better manuals with enjoyable reading materials.

Regardless of physical reward and day one short-comings, its pretty sweet that they are offering a separate CD post-release that is free of charge (to certain backers) so they can play without having to connect and update.

Yeah, we all expected to be able to use our physical copies like we could in the old days (pop it in, play games, no fuss). But after the D:OS fiasco where the physical CD is virtually useless, I'm pleased inXile addressed this with their offering.

"Wasteland 2 would not have happened WITH you..." ummmm

If this was true then does it mean the printed manuals will have it?

Although I figure those will miss a lot of stuff that was added after they sent them to print.

And that's how you spot a newfag that never played W1.
He's missing nothing at all, it's quite bad. That summary at the beginning is really all you need to know, though it glosses over that one small village to the southwest, not that it's relevant since that area's now cut off by radiation clouds.

found this on the kickstarter comments from the official inXile account:
"The Collector's Edition you're getting is a sizable metal box which is a limited edition run that others won't be able to get. The physical goods included are of a higher quality, the map is cloth, the manual is spiral bound, and it has unique backer rewards like the medals or commemorative coin."

I wonder what became of the "miniature" that was supposed to come with these. Is it still a miniature or has it turned into something else?

So they make their color printed materials in Word, awesome. Anyway I already had a rant about the shitty layout and typography of the WL2 novellas, so I’m not going to repeat myself here. I admit that this looks a little less terrible though.

Two weeks!

I want to say thank you to everyone who has participated and supported us on these forums during production.
We truly mean it when we say that our hearts and souls have been poured into this game, its been an amazing ride and I hope all of you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed creating it.
As your animator this has been a dream come true for me. These are the types of games Ive always wanted to work on. I got the chance to be in full creative control over the animation and hand crafted 90 percent of all in game animations, I'm not sure what the final count is but my estimate of total animations is between 1500-2000! Going back to a hand keyed look and feel was very important to me as an artist and I hope everyone is satisfied with the results. My personal opinion is that it has more of a genuine feel than if we decided to motion capture any of it. Working under the conditions of the kickstarter has been liberating as well and I have to say thank you to all backers again.

19th cant get here fast enough my friends

Josh Jertberg is a cool guy and my favorite from the team regarding speech and on-camera attitude but that would not stop me from criticizing the hell out of his animations if the're subpar.

Also "My personal opinion is that it has more of a genuine feel than if we decided to motion capture any of it." How the hell this makes any sense? I thought motion capture its the pinnacle of genuine representation of human bio-mechanics.

I don't quite know how this works, but hopefully for us eurofags they'll send them from somewhere in Europe?
I got Broken Sword with no problems right to my doorstep.

I don't either, but one would think that since they are (iirc) a kraut-limey company, shipping inside EU wouldn't be a problem.
