At the end she does kill Bonhart. Kind of reduces his cool vibe. He was built in dozens of novels as this badass and then he is defeated by a 16yo girl.
It ruined him when Sapkowski rewrote him. From a Terminator-type guy who's so inhuman he can kill actual non-human witchers, he turns into some perverted wacko. What the fuck.
There's no proof he actually killed any witcher in combat, and considering he was just a human with human reflexes, strength, and agility, most likely a load of shit.

And when did said rewrite happen? Between first and second scene in the first short story?

Yeah but he did kill all the rats in two minutes without even breaking a sweat and he had reputation of the best assassin in the world so it could be true.

Weren't most of the Rats a bunch of 16 yo kids? Real baddass this Leo Bonhart. Like holding a midget at arms length. I mostly remember him as a cruel creepy degenerate, but ultimately someone with whom Geralt would deal with fairly easily.
But now that I think of it, it's interesting to interpret Bonhart being this terrifying figure only because we see him from Ciri's perspective. the whole unreliable narrator thing.

Why would you want to play a ciri game? It's like wanting to watch Dirty Harry with no Harry Callahan.

Then I remember people loving nu-madmax without .. Mad Max in it. So as long as it's got controller friendly sword fighting and called witcher you are hyped? Why are gamers retarded?

Yet rats managed to terrorise an entire area, managed to avoid or kill all other bounty hunters that were sent after them and were well respected by other gangs. And he engaged all 7 of them at the same time. Mind you Geralt managed to kill 8 people at Blaviken ONLY after he drank his potions.

A Geralt-less witcher game is pointless and will inevitably become generic fantasy slop, and despite his arc being wrapped up in Blood & Wine, they could simply make a new game that's set in his earlier days as a witcher, or during important events like the Thanedd coup when Geralt was already a witcher. Witchers age slower so there's plenty interesting stories to tell and he's seen a lot.

Well, he had 2 or 3 witcher medallions in his collection if my memory serves well. It was never revealed how he got them but the suggestion was he slayed each of their wielders.

Still I think Geralt in his prime would make short work of him. Problem is, the only moment where they could have met, during the final confrontation in Castle Stygga, Geralt was no longer in his prime. His broken and freshly healed leg and arm seriously limited his capabilities.

He had 3 medallions. Vilgefortz was also too capable warrior for a normal human, Geralt hadn't got the slightest chance against him in Thanedd. Maybe he was magically boosted, but nothing implied that.

Rats were not easy opponents, but they are not elite warriors. In the books Bonhart never fought with anyone, who was on Geralt level. The Ciri vs Bonhart fight in Castle Stygga was rigged by the environment. If they fight in an arena, Bonhart would win. Of course, Sapkowski can provide fuckup writings, but it isn't accidental, he wrote their final confrontation this way.

They were mostly dumb kids who thought they were hot shit because they could terrorize peasants, and thought that 6 against one gives them an advantage. Except it's physically impossible for 6 people to attack one armed with short weapons at the same time. If they weren't dumb they would've had crossbows and just shot Bonhart on the spot.

Would have been rad if they set the game right after the Conjunction and you could play one of the first witchers fighting a bunch of freaky monsters.

Ciri is a lame character whose story was already wrapped up, set in a period when monsters are fading. Nothing interesting there.

Tho trusting CDPR to put out anything good after what pretentious faggots they were leading up to the CP release is really asking to be disappointed.

Wokism and the desperate effort to appeal to CDPR shareholders like Tencent and Blackrock prevented them from doing what sells and makes sense, i.e making a witcher game with a young Geralt who's just learned his ropes and is getting educated in the ways of political intrigue also.

A critical component in the often lethal "Tranny De-cocktion".

I would have liked a game in earlier times with other active Witcher schools. This could have worked well with making your own character, where the different schools serve as classes to provide more variation in gameplay.

But that is exactly what the first game was suppose to be: a custom made Witcher before the events of the book Saga. Unfortunately it never happened...... and never will. W1 is still great though.
