Nice posts. :greatjob:

Unfortunately as criticisms are limited to singular posts and commenters, and since Thiaf defenders are no less vocal than the original fanbase, the negative feedback is probably treated as fringe butthurt that only makes the cut ties and 'pursue their artistic vision'

It does not suffice, it's up to Canada to take the treachery/crimes against humanity of Montreal in their own hands with more drastic measures.

Nice posts. :greatjob: Although, I'm not sure this:

You do know that Thief: Deadly Shadows is widely considered to be the worst game in the series in no small part due to its focus on graphics over gameplay, right?

is actually true.

Well, it is considered the weakest game by many fans. Certainly by the most vocal from my experience.

I can understand some complaints, like e.g. about the smaller levels due to console memory limitations or that some features could have used some more polish.
Ultimately however, it's still a good game and most importantly still a Thief game:
It continues/finishes the story of Garret, stays faithful to the lore and the gameplay is still Thief, not some modern action-y re-imagination.
Some levels have been pretty cool, too.

However, my impression always was that the game was criticized mostly for issues that did arise from multi-platform development, not from "its focus on graphics over gameplay".
It did have better graphics, since they had changed to a more modern engine (and personally I always thought that the dynamic lighting system helped a lot with atmosphere and was very fitting for a game like Thief), but I didn't exactly get the impression that it was all style over substance with TDS.

HR fell somewhere in between 1 and IW, and it leaned a lot more heavily towards IW, but it wasn't nearly as bad as IW.

It's to make sure that fans see that they totally are commited to the series by giving Garret his mechanical eye.
Nevermind that it doesn't make sense if you completely rewrite his backstory that explains how he got it.

He looks like he's wearing a medieval hitman costume. A striped pullover and a bag marked "swag" would be less conspicuous.

IW was the best in the series. Greatest story. Great atmosphere. Decent gameplay good locations.

If their first development question truly was "what type of gameplay", they clearly have no understanding of Thief.

This game needs to be canceled asap, for the sake of everything sacred left in the gaming space.

Give them curtailed Frenchies some stupid Ass Creed clone to make or some other multilation where you parkour around with some rebellious kid wrecking hip shitz around those oppressive riot police. I mean, anything. Just stay away from the masterpiece.
