Higher Game
Arcane
I'm a fan of this MMORPG because it has had explosive growth lately, and the growth of GMs hasn't grown well with it. It has a strong Laizze-Faire (spelling, I know) feel to it. Few NPCs buy rare items, so the economy is very much self-regulated. An intelligent guild can actually corner a market, if they learn to take over a hunting spot (which leads to war, of course).
There is no level limit in this game. This is balanced by the fact that pvp involves a lot of skill, and a team of level 60s can bring down a level 100+ character if they know what they're doing. Hunting anything stronger than a dragon must involve teamwork. Tibia, therefore, has a strong sense of community. It also has a lot of room for role playing, for people who don't like the powergaming mindset. And, with no level limit, powergamers are welcome too, but this isn't really that fun.
I enjoy the pvp of this game the most. It's very well balanced and entertaining. The death penalty is steep, so battles involve a lot of strategy. The world is huge, of course, and there were even some new quests added with the last few updates.
www.tibia.com is the web site. It's free, but you don't have to wait to get on a server if you pay. Paying also lets you go to a few new areas. It's much better than EQ2, WOW, or whatever the trendy MMORPG is these days.
