So? That doesn't change the essence of my statement. CA are woke shitters who love nothing more than to inject stronk womyn into history. They did it with Rome 2 (with an entire DLC, no less!), Attila, they're doing it with Warhammer on the down-low.

What are they doing with Warhammer?
Last time when they introduced new lords, all of them were male.

Take the Vampire Coast for example, a faction with very little lore so they had the chance to come up with their own. Zombie pirates is fine and all but notice the units and lords. Lots of women among those guys.
Of all the possible Bretonnian lords they chose Repanse. Little things like that.

Giving them cavalry from the get-go seem a bit too strong.
Also, i'm not sure that they really understand how their own system work : cavalry is not used to hunt archer, but for flanking purpose, and tend to be too squishy against archer.

I guess chariot are still a retarded unit ?

What the fuck are you even talking about? Amazons are in the Illiad. They are a perfectly legit faction for a game based around Trojan war.

Go eat your fedora if a legit faction built around women is incomprehensible to you just for the sake of what's between their legs.

The whole premise of this game is dumb. The Total war franchise is dead and the player base shifted once again with retarded Warhammer mechanics like heroes and lords.

I wasn't complaining about the historical aspect. Although I doubt the real Amazons existed in the way shown in the game.

Neither did Achilles, Hector, Odysseus, the Trojan fucking Horse, and the mythology-inspired units like minotaurs and centaurs.

The Iliad and Odyssey, the two books upon which this game is based, are not accurate historical accounts giving us an unbiased and truthful relation of what happened. They're mythology.

Fierce cavalrywomen called Amazons who lived in northeastern Anatolia are part of that mythology.

Seems they are making their "historic" line really colourful and cartoony. I would have thought they'd leave that style to Warhammer and provide a more grounded gritty experience that doesn't necessarily have people literally exploding into huge gushes of blood just because somebody poked them with a spear.

I assume they noticed that a) cartoony Warhammer is doing very well while b) gritty stuff like Britannia didn't, so everything's gotta be colorful now.

Imho the battles in the new games are too fast. To be honest, back in the day I was really disappointed with how fast the battles in Rome 1 played out compared to the original Shogun/Medieval. They slowed it down for Medieval II which I really liked, but since then the battle speed has been increased with every installment. I prefer the slower battles where infantry can stand their ground for considerable time, allowing you to execute your flanking maneuvers.

Anyways, I thought that this guy, despite being an obnoxious turbo autist with an awful Scottish accent, makes some interesting points:

They've gone up and down. Shogun 2 is even faster than Rome 2, for example, which can have some pretty long, grindy melees with very heavy troops. I'd put Warhammer somewhere between Shogun 2 (frontlines collapse in seconds) and Attila (slightly faster than Rome 2). It's also going to be influenced by specific factors, like how ranged units can have massive damage output in Warhammer, deleting a quarter of a unit's health with a single volley.

Several months later, the galaxy brains at CA have invented a revolutionary mechanic they've dubbed "unit collision"
