This is the email of the chaps who made LoT2. Can anyone who speaks moonrunes tell them about the wonders of Steam? http://www.geocities.jp/aaa_3peso/about.html

They are supposedly working on an action RPG called Touhou Gensou Kikou, developed by another team, and it was supposedly out this year. But the another team is currently busy with console ports of their own games, so I guess that delayed the development.

Gameplay video of old demo:

That video is from 2014 O.o

Yep. It's been long in development. The another team (CUBETYPE) announced early this year that they'd like to released it this year but there's no news after that.

So, it looks like the first fangames coming to Steam will not be Japanese made.

Touhou minigame collection:

The Disappearing of Gensokyo, an action game by Chinese team:

AFAIK only one Japanese fangame is confirmed to be released on Steam, and it is a tower defense game:

Apparently on twitter, sanbondo the developer of the Fantasy Maiden Wars series, a fangame series for both Touhou and Super Robot Wars, was saying on twitter they were considering steam releases for their games.

Apparently it's in the replies somewhere according to the SomethingAwful LP I've been reading of the fourth game. Can't confirm it seeing as I don't know any japanese whatsoever.

Latest, Touhou 17, got a Steam page already. Like 16.5, it's coming a month later than supposed release (Comiket in August) in Japan.:

More older official games, 13 and 14, coming to Steam. They're coming in reverse order:

Damn it ZUN, add the string "Touhou" somewhere in your game description so it shows up as the first result over all these fangames...

It's a miracle we're seeing them in digital distribution already.

Reverse order release was fortunate to get LOLK on steam but it's going to push the better games further away in release, ten desires is the most mediocre touhou overall, DDC has some cool stuff but a particularly annoying boss gimmick through Seija. Hope this won't stop Zun from releasing more if the sales of these end up disappointing because of most fans already knowing what they want to play and these not being high on the pecking order.

I can do it w/o the dot, it's just that it's the only patched EoSD I've found. I've 1CC'd SoEW before, after all

I think I can get Hard 1CC, since I manage to get far enough on Lunatic. Wish Marisa didn't have high speed, ReimuB is stronger anyway.

List of fangames on steam:

A amazing shinren like rogue like with plenty of content for the price.

A solid platformer with some metroidvania elements and time powers.

A good ys clone.Just don't expect gameplay at the same level.

Touhou monopoly in early access. Lack of content and repetitiveness makes it not worth your time unless it is dirt cheap when released.

Touhou in tbs form. Not very good. Bare bones tbs elements and the touhou element sis random stuff being thrown on the battlefield for you to move out,it feels weird.

A spiritual successor to the mario rpg starring big titty touhou characters.Minus some problems with dodge timings not being perfect it is a very good game.+20 hours of pure mario rpg content and done well.

Another good ys clone, made by the same people that made the previous touhou action rpg game.

Touhou shop sim.It would be a good game if the length and content weren't for mobiles.2 hours and you have seen ti all and there is no endless mode which is a big killer.

Mediocre touhou jrpg. What kills it for me is that you need to do qte for every single thing.

Touhou srpg. Fire emblem clone with a big focus on passives. Nothing special but nothing bad as well.

I am leaving out the big selection of danmaku games.

I fucking loved Touhou Luna Nights, are the devs planning on doing more of that one?
