Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Travel back to 1998 and say "You're only playing Fallout 2? In the year 2019, we will already have Fallout 76!"

Travel back to 2000 and say "Jagged Alliance 2? Yeah, great game, there will so many re-makes and spiritual sequels to it!"

Travel back to any year before the 2010s and say "You like deep social and political themes in games? That's cool, there will be a lot of politics in games in the future!"

Travel back to the 90s and say "You like Wizardry and Might and Magic? There will be a lot of new first person dungeon crawlers in the 2010s, starting with Legend of Grimrock!"

Dragon Age Origins will be released as the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate 2 in some years time. Dragon Age 2 will be twice the spiritual successor.

Good series you love that hasn't gotten a new game in some time will be getting one or more in the future (where future installment is actually shitty).

Instead of being a hobby for nerds and geeks, gaming will hit mainstream. Everybody will carry a super high-tech mobile device that you can play games on and lots of developers will focus exclusively on that, to the point where there will be more games for it than you could ever possibly play - many of them for free! Even your mom will enjoy playing video games!

You can also make money just by playing video games and you don't even have to be good at them! There's gonna be gamer girls who make thousands of dollars a week filming themselves playing video games at home, it's THAT easy.

You waste so much time making boot discs to launch those DOS games, PC is such a pain in the ass, don't worry, consoles will fix it.

Travel back to 1990 and say: "Oh I see you're playing Commander Keen. In 30 years you will be able to play it on your... phone!"
