If this post gets 200 brofits, I will personally hunt ItsChon down and brainwash him via skinner boxes and sensory overloads until he likes the meme.

Strap him down, staple open his eyes and force him to watch "Donnie and Marie" reruns until he is "cured".

He'll eventually desensitize, so just when he thinks he can tune it out, I'll make the switch -- nothing but the opening sequence to Bonanza for a week, interspersed with single frames of WWII footage to make him feel under constant threat.

And then suddenly, silence. Sensory deprivation tank for a week. I'll drop an apple and cold lunch meats into the water two times per day. From there, it's just Van Halen concert footage for another week, but overdubbed with anime OP/ED's.

That game from the early 90s that was a cornerstone of your childhood is unbearably painful and unfun today to literally all of humanity because the UI is actual complete cancer, and nobody loves it anymore except you

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I have an answer to the 'What makes an RPG' question that the Codex has been to-ing and fro-ing over for years. The answer is boobs! Bear with me. You see, if one boob is roleplaying and the other boob is powergaming/tactics - then the answer lies in the middle.

It is quite literally the cleavage between two ideas.

Feel free to replace the concept of cleavage with buttocks if you are thusly inclined. And there you go.

Would be cool if someone remade this list to include all (and only) quality CRPGs, i.e. many games from the '80s and '90s rather than just a handful, and zero Bioware games. :M

Also fixed the following sentence: "Dungeons & Dragons has been an inspiration in terms of setting and/or mechanics for several popular fantasy all videogame computer/console RPGs."
