Not really, though. It's not worth it spend too much money early on unless you're really craft-focused, and even still the components you might get by that time are pretty crap. Sometimes you can get ridiculously lucky and see stuff like advanced catalyst belt at sale from the doctor in Junkyard, i did get it once, but i wasn't playing a acid build. Abrams quests are also piss easy and net you almost 2k charons. The only really expensive thing is super steel at 9k charons and RNG deciding your quality, less of a hassle if you're willing to postpone your crafting until you get all 4 datasticks to up the quality (and RNG might still fuck you in the ass).

I play only on DOM and i can buy all house furniture and jetskis with no problem.

Trade-related feats suck not because money isn't the issue but because they won't help you with getting specific items like Image Intensifier Tube and the like. Until you don't know the game meaning where to get what it's all fine but once you do you sometimes you are just bound to do endless trader rounds which's annoying. Vendor refresh fixes that. If there was a feat which effectively do the same I'd just take it instead for all builds but alas. It's like saying use of speedhack makes you a filthy cheater back when the game itself didn't have that feature. If you like to waste your time normie in the game instead of doing something interesting then go ahead.

Disassemble is simply better because it maximizes the value per item. You collect the gear, disassemble it, reassemble the best frames/vests with the best components, and carry them to trader. Every item in 100% condition too. This nets you more money than just unloading all the sub-optimal and used gear with salesman

I can do Oskar (+400), Len (+300), Blaine (+250), Kevin (+350). That's 1300 coins per run solely on weapons and vests, every 30 minutes. All except Blaine are next screen to a nearest rift too, you can walk them encumbered alright

Even at 3 STR, you get 130 units +10 rathound BBQ +10 fursuit +50 large waist pack - 200 units carry capacity, with your own gear lightened up, you can carry 150 units of trash all around easily. With pentapus bbq and power fist you can get to 225 units total. Drag shit to the nearest rift and sell later if needed. I like using Sprint when encumbered to help with the crawl

This, without trader refresh but with due diligence nets you ever more money in the long run

It just sounds like you have poor inventory and money management. I just leave all my loot and repair kits in one spot to mass repair it, then i left the excess in front of every shop according to their demands, so i can just do my merchant runs for max value everytime they refresh. You'd stop being a broke ass zoner if you stopped selling 50 quality hawkers instead of repairing sniper rifles and tac vests. The game has tens of merchants, a good quality tacvest sells for almost 200 charons, crossbows sell for a lot at constantine's, weapons are almost universally accepted, there's a crapload of shields you can loot and sell for good price and energy pistols, especially if you repair them, will give you a crapload of money. You can sell stuff for good price at SGS and buy meds and batteries there instead of spending charons. All you need is good merchantile and a modest investment in crafting skills.

People cheat because this game is poorly designed on many areas: snail character speed, merchant inventory that reloads based on IRL minutes (not ingame minutes) among others but the worst aspect of the game that no cheat or plugin can fix is the tinyness of each separate map. Not only the loading times are crap for the size of the map but each map tile has poor variety (Cave/Bunker/Railroad).
Hell, even Jagged alliance 1 released in 1994 for MS-DOS has much bigger maps, lower loading times (even back then) and more variety. This is a joke.
