Kind of agree but excessive dialogue is not just about infodumps, especially with the current crop of writers.

Funnily enough, the guts of what she's saying is a legit golden rule of writing: Dialogue and writing in general should always be in service of something. Don't waffle aimlessly.

I found it somehow doubly ironic that she post about it on twitter, which limited character's count aimed to force people to voice synthetic thinking.

Nowadays, the average's user found an elegant solution : they skip the thinking part.
