The original Bloodlines score had a distinct sound that many fans hold dear, so in Bloodlines 2, we leaned into some of those established atmospheric qualities, like the dark, moody overtones and the sense of lurking danger. However, we avoided directly replicating any of the old themes. Instead, we focused on the underlying tone that made Bloodlines unique, incorporating noir-inspired elements while introducing a more organic approach.

"We decided to do our own thing to fit the very different game we're making."

As Craig and Eímear began to shape the soundscape for TCR's rendition of Bloodlines 2, we actively sought opportunities to weave Rik Schaffer’s compositions into the fabric of the game.

Now, we are thrilled to share that these stunning pieces have been integrated into various segments of the gameplay. Players will experience them during intense combat encounters, poignant narrative moments, and as they explore key locations within the game world. We believe that this addition not only enriches the gaming experience but also beautifully complements the exceptional original score that Eímear and Craig have meticulously crafted. The culmination of these musical elements elevates the overall quality of Bloodlines 2, providing an even deeper and more immersive experience for players.

"We really don't want to make the fans more upset than they already are."

I think it's funny how they refer to the composers as Craig and Eímear because "Noone and Garfinkle" sounds like a Simon and Garfunkel parody.

As a composer, I thought the music was..........OK. I kinda liked the melody a bit.

But this was not invoking a mood or sense of dark or dread. Especially for a VtM game. It's like do these people even listen to or even know of dark contemporary music? Like say Boy Harsher or hell even something from HEALTH would be a bit more edgy and darker. Granted Bloodline's main theme was a complete rip-off of Massive Attack. Did it work. Fuck yes it did. It's like they are a bit out of touch on the darker side of things.

Paradox Q3 Earnings Summary

Despite all the bullshit they are actually doing pretty well financially. The expensing vs capitalizing aspect can have pros and cons depending on the situation but they are expensing a lot which does decrease their income, on paper at least. They aren’t behaving like they’re worried.

I also like some of the cut music (restored with the Unofficial Patch).

I really like this one

It plays at the beach in Santa Monica in the unofficial patched version. Vastly superior to the released version's music for that area

In Wesp5's version that I am using it plays in the Downtown Library, but I am guessing it is because I play with the Unofficial Patch Plus version.

I believe I had it at the beach a long time ago, but then people complained that it changed the original atmosphere too much so I moved it into the new level.

By the way, including a shortcut during that God awful "find the nosferatu" sewer quest was a really bro tier move on your part.
