You are talking about game where stats>tactics and one OP unit can easily beat most of enemies(easier than few under leveled ones).

If it's so easy, why are you complaining about level-ups in the first place? Show us what you did to solo all of Vestaria, I'm curious. Troy is powerful but he's not immune to being crit by assassins, or killed by a ballista\arbalest, for starters. That's not counting specific objectives that require you to split up on certain maps.

You won't get shit stats on all your guys. Such RNG usually forces you to be creative with your unit selection.

Nah in FE, especially the older one there is no point with "creative unit selection."

Even with shit roll on some level, the character growth chance when leveling up is fixed. Shit character (with low % of growth) will always be shit and the top tier ones (those with good growth %) will always be top tier. The only thing having bad RNG will do is that you will use your Jegan longer than usual.

Not sure how it is in this game tho

The first game got official Chinese translation few days ago, and that day's concurrent player number (204) was higher than the launch week peak (179). It's also getting a bunch of positive reviews. Maybe this will help us to get official release of other games...

Zephgarus has a video discussing the TBS spinoff (Vestaria Saga: Norden Civil War). I'll defer to him since his Japanese is better than mine :P

Didn't catch this at the time, but Kaga's confirmed a VS2 localization is in progress:

He's also been discussing the possibility of making the next game a paid product by signing a deal with a studio, in order to get it finished since volunteer help is not reliable enough. Profit is of course not a concern, but the price would likely be around 3000 yen ($26). https://twitter.com/Ks_vestaria/status/1449015946811613188 ; https://twitter.com/Ks_vestaria/status/1449087415591653377 ; https://twitter.com/Ks_vestaria/status/1449025809407090692

After getting positive feedback, it seems the plan will go ahead. Development will "likely take the whole of next year": https://twitter.com/Ks_vestaria/status/1449589054798925824

Looks like Kaga is working on some improvements to Vestaria 2 (aka Gaiden):

Machine translation of the above tweets:

The main changes in this remake are (1) various functions have been added by changing the game engine to the latest one, and (2) the resolution has been changed to 1280 x 720. The screen became bigger and easier to play. ③ The difficulty level was readjusted and unified. Save anywhere is now possible ④ Added automatic save. This made it possible to play no lycee.

⑤ Music was added and readjusted. ⑥ Difficulty has been reduced by adding new items, improving abilities, adjusting skills, etc. ⑦ Added battle records to the ending. ⑧ A new clear privilege has been established. <Not implemented in the sample version> That's right. It's quite different from Gaiden.

Not surprisingly, Kaga cites LotR (specifically The Two Towers) as an influence for chapter 20 of VS2:

Japanese review of VS2 1.06 here: https://ynk-blog.com/10484/

TL;DR: several items\units have been buffed, but a few maps were also made more difficult. An additional menu save option was added, but can be ignored if you want to play it like the original version.
