Oh look. A red flag.
They have been doing shit like this on Steam for a long time. Almost all game communities do it.
I don't really follow Steam forums, but I like when others point out such behavior, because for me this type of treatment is a difference between "I will buy a collector's edition asap" and "the game will rot in my backlog and I'll get to it on some big discount, eventually". And the next time I see something similar happen, it will immediately be the latter, regardless of how much good faith I have towards the developer.
You are such a snowflake, I recently got banned from PoE2 reddit for saying to a guy to cope more (so not even anything political), you do not see me saying I will not play POE2 because of retarded mods on "their" forums.
I know, and I'm completely fine with that.

Also, who banned you? Was it some redditor tard mod? Because that's different from getting a boot from an actual dev.

Actual devs do not moderate Steam forums LOL, at best it might be some junior community manager but that is probably also doubtful.

That's actually not true, at least for indie studios. Not only they have people specifically asked to do this, the management often observes and monitors what's happening on the forums. To actually have a "developer" tag you need the company to add your account to theirs and set up your permissions, which is not something you offer to randos.

Of course I've also seen situations where some external person was hired to do this lame job, but even then there's always someone watching.

My point is, if this wasn't company policy, it wouldn't be happening.

It did, it is just that PoE1 was so disappointing they lost most of returning players.
Which means voice acting is not a replace for a good game. They should manage their resources properly instead of wasting it in pointless cosmetic stuff. I'm not precisely exited to hear the often-obnoxious companions voice for 50 hours straight.

And if they fuck it up their next game will suffer, VO can only bring new players while you still have good reputation.

Dark Heresy Stream.

Key points:

>You start as a Acolyte and become a Inquisitior LATER in the game. Edit: Valeria said "you can become a inquisitior, but you start as Acolyte." Then starrok reinforced it that you start as Acolyte.

> The party size still 6 total. No change from Rogue Trader.

> The power scale is lower than Rogue Trader

> Story primarily about the Tyrant Star, learn about it.

> Mommentum is gone. Morale system instead. You can build around the morale system.

> Morality system. Radical/Puritan axis.

> Less flat maps, more vertical maps. Changes to the engine.

> Changes for the archetype system , a lot of changes. Improvements to make less overwhelming than rogue trader. No dumbed down the system.

> Fully voiced game. Starrok said that dialogue still the same as Rogue trader.

> Shorter game than Rogue trader.

> Romance are in the game. Roughly as many as Rogue trader.

> One of the Origins from Rogue Trader is becoming a Archtype in Dark Heresy (Psyker probably)

> Aaron Dembski-Bowden, author of Night Lords novels, is writing a tie-in novel for the game's collection edition.

> Updated models and animations.

> Ship about the size of the Ebon hawk.

> Similar co-op to Rogue trader.

> A investigation system that flow with the whole game better going to be replacing the Colony/Trader empire management from RT.

> A cameo from Rogue Trader confirmed.

> Same people behind Rogue trader's OST working in Dark Heresy

Going by pervious games latter most likely means either at the end of the prologue or act 1

Starrok could be just lying but by the way he talked about it, it was much later. Like late act 2 to early act 3. Unlike the rogue trader Stream where he straight up said you became a Rogue Trader early on.

Wow, they are overextending quickly. Did they even fix wrath yet? I mean the bugs, fixing the game to not be a boring slop was probably never in the scope. Now season 2 for that lame RT game AND this at the same time? Good luck.
Wrath? Nigga they're announcing a new game and RT hasn't even gotten its second DLC.
I wonder how long they can keep up with hyperproduction until the dumb-dumbs finally get their fill and Owlshitters end up bankrupt as a result.
Soon, hopefully.

Full VO didn't bring more sales to Deadfire though.
Didn't DOS2 and Disco Elysium sold more after getting Full VO? I'm pretty sure Disco only got into the ''mainstream'' after Final Cut.
No, Disco Elysium released full VO after getting rich with the base game. Or where do you think they found the money to cover the expenses to voice a game with an 1,000,000-world count? That ain't cheap. Larian did the same after releasing DOS1 + DOS2 Kickstarter covering the rest.

These are ad-hoc additions after success. They weren't included from the get-go and trusted with carrying the game like Deadfire did.

Eh... Tyrant Star was the sort of "main" mystery of the first edition Dark Heresy, though it never got really fleshed out (people were usually telling me that was on purpose so that people could make it whatever they wanted). I guess we will see some canonical take on it here. Whatever, tbh fam I never liked this whole thing much, the first edition Dark Heresy offered a huge number of very cool conspiracies/antagonists to fight against, I hope we will see some of them at least in some side quests or w/e. Would love to go up against the Amaranthine Syndicate especially... we will see I guess.

The becoming Inquisitor thingy - Dark Heresy is not about being an Inquisitor, but about serving one (after all even in Ascended career paths you couldnt become an Inquisitor at all, Interrogator was the highest you could go). Kinda disapointing to see this, I have to wonder why do you start as an Acolyte and not as an Interrogator (Inquisitor in training), which would make sense if there was to be this final promotion as a part of the story. The thing about Dark Heresy always was that the whole thing is low key, you are supposed to trail cultists through hive city streets and eavesdrop on cold traders in space port taverns, not be a guy who can flash a Rosette and requisition an Imperial Guard regiment when you feel like it.

I am glad to see that you can actually be a puritan in the game, all the xeno companions made me doubt that - though I am glad to see a Kroot in the game, was hoping to have them in Rogue Trader already. I am really curious about the investigation aspect of the game as well, hopefully there will be more to it than the usual RPG fare of "talk to 4 NPCs in sequence and collect an item." The game shouldnt be focussed on combat too much in any case, since indeed Dark Heresy is a game where you investigate shit at least as much as you shoot and slash.

Anyway, that all said the devs proved that they have an ability to do the setting justice in Rogue Trader, so I am cautiously optimistic that they will pull this off as well. Will preorder, once the retarded website actually sends me a confirmation e-mail lol.

You already had investigation in RT companion quest that would let you accuse multiple people of being guilty or not. I except something similar to that with some additions.

As expected, although I kinda wonder how can you have an ogryn companion and still pretend to be a stealthy investigator.
(after all even in Ascended career paths you couldnt become an Inquisitor at all, Interrogator was the highest you could go).
Lol no. Inquisitor was a totally valid path, and a very OP one, especially a psyker inquisitor combo that can autopass Willpower checks once per encounter.
