Grab the Codex by the pussy Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Kingmaker
? The VO is not the focus of the Director's Cut. They barely talked about it compared to the new graphics and the new mechanics.

Check what's new section in the backer FAQ where VO is on top of the list right after gfx overhaul.

But it's not the important part. Even if that voice acting was dirt cheap and they put very little effort into it (which isn't necessarily the case), the return on investment is still miserable. Sometimes it's better to have no voice acting at all.

It's just that the expanded VO was so unnecessary, do console gamers actually sit through dialogue? Clearly not having any VO trumps bad VO work.

The DC crashes constantly for me, it seems to regularly corrupt savegames which only shows when I try to leave the savegame's current area. Never had this issue with WC2.

MAYBE it's caused by having started the savegame before the first hotfixes, in which case good job on a stellar patching system Inxile.

I think peoplel are overreacting @ the VO work.

    IT's decent in most places.

Alrdy along well in L.A. and I think the game is quite better than vanilla! Though in some places, a few changes are pretty questionable,

I haven't heard too much of the new VO ... I liked Angie's at the beginning despite the fact that it was obviously taken from two separate sessions.

As for Vulture's Cry, the whole point of the character is that she acts like an idiot to play up the whole "Heap big thunder, bad medicine" stereotype, so sounding stupid is on purpose. It's OK if you don't like it, but it was intentional.

It's like really bad.... You can clearly tell what was voice acted in the first release and what is new.. Angie sounding like two different people in two different places in every other line of dialogue is actually the better Voice Acting in the game.
    AG Center.. oh my god...

I might do a Youtube Worst of.. the voice acting is that bad.

Who is Jan? I am in Ag Center at the moment. When I went to the morgue, Rose said something like "Rangers, I am disappointed in you. You promised Jan to keep her secret and you didn't." I don't know who that is. I am almost sure that I didn't encounter her yet I think.

    Edit:
Apparently Jan is part of the people from Darwin village. If the quest fails for leaving the place without finishing the quest completely then its a pretty retarded quest design, sorry.

I didn't meet any people except enemies which I cleaned them up, no hints about the pass in the place nor in the quest log, failing me for just leaving the place to return later is dumb.

Good idea for when employing low quality VA.

VO drama is odd. I never pay any attention to it. Reading is at least three to four times faster. They could speak Japanese for all I care. Doesn't matter if it's some random guy doing the audio or one of the hilariously overpayed Voice Jews.

You can even turn VO audio completely off.

Only idiot would care about VO in a game that has more dialogue than japanese RPGs.
Undubs, or japanese VO, in some japanese games is necessity. But that's mainly because the atrocious quality of English VA, and also bad selection of voices which sounded sharply different than original and they were different in bad way.

Well - again - originally they didn't plan to VO this character. I guess they could have gone back and completely rewritten her when the decision was made to add voice. Let's change the slow-voiced dullard to something more modern! more sexy! you know, something the kids will like!

Look, we all know that DC VA, like DOS EE VA, is a thing because of consolefaggotry and their inability to read.

Yea, I wish if they added a faster way to leave a location after exploring it fully or at least for towns. Also for modding a weapon, since they made the skill be used automatically, I kinda wish if they extend it that to modding weapons so you don't have to unequip and pass it, mod it and then give it back.

Does the the hobo old man have an additional personal quest beside finding his hidden cache? I kinda want to get rid of him but I would like to complete his quest first if he has one.
