OK I FUCKING BACK FROM MY DWARF FORTRESS 2014 exile.
I just installed it and i am ready to plough.

I have this feeling this will be a great game. I'm going totally blind. Not played BETA, 0 information beforehand, completely no idea about opinions and stuff.

Minigames wouldn't work in game with so many containers. They were lovely in more adventure-like RPGs like Wizardry 8 or in games where you are always in danger and can't pause game like System Shock.

Australia and decline, what a couple.
Ad hominem.
Pls don't report me
Why are you trying to provoke, and do so by mocking a piece of land? Wait, are you British?
What is the the reason for people hating this? How is clicking on something, and waiting for a dice roll more enjoyable, than having actual mini puzzles that become progressively harder as the game goes on?

In a tru rpg where character stats matter over player skill, yes, a dice roll over a minigame should be the desired method. Although I would gladly do away with WL2's waiting for said roll.

And I simply believe that less minigames the better because more often than not those minigames are absolutely terribad. Off the top of my head, I can count only 2 games where minigames weren't obnoxious - Gothic's lockpicking (which was quite possibly the best fusion of speed, player interaction and character skill to date) and System Shock 2's hacking. Almost everything else that I can think of was horrible, and the fact that the minigames actually seem to be getting even more horrible year after year doesn't make me feel like changing my stance.
I totally agree with you, System Shock 2 was executed pretty well - quick, intelligent, and increasingly harder.

But for the most part, where it has been done, it gets tedious later on - the idea is great though. Wish people would forget the fact just because it's been attempted in Bethesda games, that somehow makes it casual.

Yeah...actually forgot about how many containers there are in this game.

Because your land is made of crap and spiders.
Jesus Christ. Who are you, the anti-troll? Not to mention...you're afraid of spiders? Which are everywhere on the planet by the way. What a ponce. Weak man...weak as piss.

I kinda don't like mini games for things that might get repeated a lot like lockpicks throught the game, I also kinda don't like RNG, If I have the skill requirement I would like to end it fast and if not I can just move on or something. IIRC I used a mod for the mini-games in Fallout 3 and FNV and probably Skyrim to skip the mini game if I have the requirement I just get the option to open them automatically.

Yeah, that's lame.

Maybe inXile would change that line if someone asked for it. Didn't they do the same thing with the "arrow to the knee" joke?

Yeah. All it needs is variation to make it really interesting, and actually fun. If they took the same approach to this, that they take to to turn-based combat, it would be awesome. Just sucks that rather than try to, they would rather omit it completely.

EDIT: I quite the way Grimoire has done their lockpicking system too. (If that game is actually real, and not some elaborate hoax)

Not 100% certain, but it's more likely either a very old version of Ag Center's exterior, or a test map. I don't think it's any specific location or cut content - if it is it'd be super out of date regardless (note, almost 2 years old, and most locations that are still in the game that existed from then look almost nothing like they do now).

Yeah, judging by the train and the fence that looks like an early version of Ag Center, except it seems that this is a much more open version.

Just recruit Fate and she'll unlock access to the ring with her unlock code. She is right next to where you find the Honorblade.

Yes, if you use perception on the missile (or a bookshelf by the locked up monk), Father Enola will come and ask you, again, to get the nuke from silo 7. Say yes then, while he is walking, away attack him and his group. Now the scene where they show up and trigger the alarm won't happen. Then use the scrambler at your leisure.

Finished the game.
Looking at the long list of bugs and inconsistencies I've made, it will take a long time and effort to polish the game.
Anyway...
