We mostly use that button for fat people though.

I'm not here to request a rating - but instead to say that I dreamt of one.

Dreaming of browsing the Codex is bad enough, but one part of the dream was the new rating everyone was using. It looked like a yellow Roadrunner with its head up high and its tailfeathers pointing straight back. The rating was simply called 'Chicken'.

I have no idea what the context of it was, nor what context it was being used in.

I kept telling DU that "That's an Elephant" wasn't as good a caption as "That's irrelevant", but he has a naturally contrary nature. Anyway it's not my fault if folks don't use the buttons right at their fingertips, we don't need another one for the same exact purpose

It sounds like what you wanted the button to be and what it actually became are two different things, and you're just butthurt about it.

I am definitely butthurt but not JUST butthurt. The button is right there to use for off topic posts, still don't need another one. A button can mean two things.

One cannot control the nature of a button. Many are the interpretations and meanings. Who's to say what the right use is or isn't?

Future historians will ponder deeply at Codex threads and wonder what they truly meant. Conversations and meaning, lost in time.

This is a great initiative. Not only do we get to express our displeasure with spammers, the button itself will reduce the amount of spam by confining more of our communication to space-saving buttons. That's pithy as hell. We're one step closer to the ultimate death of spam in the form of one single post (preferably contentless) to which people can react with buttons, obviating the need for any words at all. The perfect forum.
