What do YOU want for ELEX 2?

no rushed area, half empty stuff, quest must spread equally and not frontloaded.
They did it in every single game they made, don't hold your breath.

I expect Elex 2 to be like what Gothic 2 was to Gothic 1. Reuse a lot of the same assets and just a bit of polish. I expect it to be announced soon, because they usually keep to the same pattern with announcements, maybe in summer. Gothic 4 will probably be next after Elex 2.

More faction-intern quests. The factions were interesting, but only the Berserker felt fully fleshed out, since they had groups with different ideas how to run things. More of that and the leaders try to kill each other in form of quests and not because I'm bored.

Even slower power curve to get armor. Continued non-level scaling. More dangerous monsters that dip into the bestiary more, more variety in monster encounters. Same huge world to explore with multiple biomes, more of the same there. I'd like to see even more of the Gothic Formula implemented, like different animations for character skill level, money hard to come by, add hunting from Gothic 3 with hunting areas, developed skills in the skill book for hunting animals and stuff like that. I'd like to see a proper Gothic 3 crime system, where guards get suspicious the more you steal from a settlement, with included talking skills to work your way out of trouble. Just more of that lovely world and excellent gameplay that PB is known for. And definitely more interaction between the factions.

Make the stamina system something more than "we just added it because le dark souls lmao" or just axe it entirely to make fights less boring.

I would rather they work on something else.

Elex is a mishmash of half baked ideas that lack any coherency. It's a step down from the original Gothics in every way.

It might have been a step down from Gothic 1 & 2, but it was a big step up from the Risen games.

Agreed. Having replayed Risen 1 recently, I would confidently say that I enjoyed ELEX more. As for a setting, ELEX is a great foundation for them to expand upon. I would love to see some of that environmental storytelling/lore put in place there expanded upon in a tighter, more focused sequel.

They need to get back to the level of skill PB had when placing enemies and items on the worldmap. There wasn't much logic to the layout in a lot of cases in ELEX. Particularly in the early game it shouldn't be such a slog to get from one place to the other. Gothic 1 handled it perfect. No need to reinvent the wheel (or be lazy)

This is what let me down the most. Gothic was amazing because the map design and placement were all logical.

Elex lacks the cohesiveness Gothic had. It feels like they procedurally generated the terrain and randomly plopped shit all over the place without any real consideration.

Nothing in Elex reaches the same heights as the first two chapters of Risen 1.

Risen 2 & 3 are not good, but even those games did certain things better than Elex.

Sounds like nostalgia talking. Either that or I'm guessing you simply didn't like the setting.

Either a proper sequel to Risen 2 with the same characters please, or Elex 2 using the Risen 2 writers & voice actors.

PB games just aren't good enough to hold their own without a good chunk of humour & witty dialogue. Risen 2 excelled at that, and Gothic 1+2 did it very well too, and that's why those games stand out to me as their best games by far.
