I don't get it. Do we really have that many people interested in trannys here? Or is it just that there are tons of never-been-kissed sexually confused virgins who get excited at the mere thought of having sex?

What do you do to relax/do you have any hobbies:

I watch a lot of movies and TV. I am an avid comic book collector reading titles like Walking Dead, Chew, Invincible, Hellboy, Green Lantern, The Boys and more. I love to cook and consider myself a foodie. I’m trying to learn to appreciate wine. My wife and I travel when we get the chance. And I am an amateur poker player.

And yeah, ugly people can have sex too. I do wonder about logistics though.

How do you aim when you can't see your own gun. Not to mention identifying where your target is.

Sorry ladies. I'm married.

I just don't understand how Chris Priestly... He of easily half a ton of body fat, he of half-assed toy collections, he of frightening community direction gets himself married? I am just saying I want to see if his wife is a lard ass mole or a bombshell of inexplicable proportions.

Maybe his shining example can inspire Crispy.

And how the fuck do he and his wife "travel?" The motherfucker looks like he walks an average of 10 feet a week.

we don't like to name parts of the world after real places -- that's confusing to the people who know about them.

Why is this insulting? He could have worded it more precisely, but he's right. If Bioware named a fantasy city 'Atlanta', some people would likely associate it with the actual city on some level.

Botched execution. The original name for the place, Arles, was far less recognizable than Orlais/Orléans. Imagine they went with Englund instead of Ferelden.

That doesn't matter as long as you can see your ass.

Quote in context:

where is Orthland?
If you really must know, Orthland was the old name for the Anderfels.

Well that thread is full of gems. No less than three bioware writers and one QA guy... That has some potential for the most retarded thread in February.

[box]Like Mary said, some of them just didn't sing and dance for us. That and we don't like to name parts of the world after real places -- that's confusing to the people who know about them.[/box]

But think of the poor people who downloaded Avernum thinking that they were going to splash around in a lake in southern Italy!

Typically names stolen from (or slightly modified from) obscure real world places and people sound a lot better (more believable/authentic) than names made up by a video game designer.

Chris Priestley about da 2 demo said:
We chose to set the game at the default, or normal, difficulty. This prevents people from accidentally setting the difficulty too easy or too hard. We do not want to give people the wrong impression about combat by having them accidentally setting it to nightmare and then choosing not to buy as the demo was too hard to play.

Choosing a difficulty is overwhelmingly hard, its better to remove them altogether.

Wow! Just Wow! You know what is the worst? That Chris Priestley is right. I imagine, that with the intelligence most Bioware fanboys have, they are capable of screwing up the difficulty setting, and then they bitch about the game being too hard.

Your ignore list.
The game should come with a pendrive that unlocks harder difficulty levels, just to ensure you do not inadvisably set it any higher by accident.
