Basically it's just confirming what we all knew from the beginning.

Oblivion with guns, combined with silly humor that Fallout 2 would be ashamed of. Nope, that was a total failure, Bethesda.

Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Codex Year of the Donut I'm very into cock and ball torture
I feel like posting some shocking furry porn because it would fit into this thread...

I am not a big Fallout fan, though I like Fallout. So, Fallout fans... How does it feel? How does this feel, seeing your beloved franchise raped? [And with beloved franchise I mean Fallout 1 and nothing else].

Doesn't it hurt to know that Fallout will be remembered (and fondly so) by millions of stupid people in a few years, remembered as this abomination? Is it like seeing your beloved being raped in front of you?

It's like having my beloved do some volunteering work for medicinical testing, and afterwards she'd look like Paris Hilton, and then people will remember her like that, and she only did it because she needed the money, and now is abominated for the rest of her life, until someone else comes and finances her a face operation.

I guess since oblivion was just a hack-n-slash with quests oblivion is going to be a first person shooter with seek and destroy missions (exactly how i remember.....).

I love this quote:

"Some people have guessed that Fallout 3 would be Oblivion with guns, and that is not the case. While it does use the Oblivion engine, never once did I see anything resembling Bruma or the Imperial City."

Are there any negative previews of FOblivion or is this the same case as with Oblivion where there were officially 100% positive reviews?

Sad.

Still hurting from the military service recruiting test? Yeah, it was not a fair question, all the raping in the park and no fun.

The really amazing thing is now all the reviews are going "Unlike the greatly flawed Oblivion, Fallout 3 is the second coming of Christ!" Can't you get some kind of whiplash from that kind of shit? Or is there just a second mouth on the back of the head for more EXTREME cocksucking action?

Oh dear.....

Now thats what I call a hivemind. I cannot, just cannot understand how EVERYBODY that is doing previews seems happy with everything thats happening. No words of dissent, not differing opinions. Nothing.

Its insane. Even movie critics have never been this much of a Conga line.

In general I find movie reviewers pretty good for independant thought, even if the thought's silly. But of course, as deadaeris said, they should only be positive because the starving developers need to make money. Besides, saying you don't like something is an opinion, as opposed to factually stating you like something.

Falluot was a good game. It was like Escape Velocity (the first one), When I first played them when I was younger I just got lost in the world. Things were put together well. Why? Because there was a vision of what the makers wanted the game to be, and they built a game reflecting that. These other games feel like hodgepodge "gaming by consensus" type games, and feel hollow.

[dumbfuck]Yeah, Fallout 3 will play like a FPS, but it's perfectly OK since you could say that Baldur's Gate played like an RTS[/dumbfuck]

Now we can just sit back and assume this consensus of rabble to be the final word on the game, and make no more mention of it till its release. It seems to be more constructive to just drop the subject altogether than merely stating the obvious on our part too, albeit in more stark contrast.

This is the problem that I have with all of these previews. I don't expect everyone to agree with me about a game, but fuckssakes there is absolutely no sense of healthy skepticism at work here. After the complete floppage of Radiant AI you would think that gaming journalists could at least be a bit more critical of Bethesda's tall claims.

I get the impression, that some or most of the previewers did not really play Fallout 1 or 2.. but played Oblivion like 25 hours a day...

Exactly, it's as if they were all brain wash... { Bethesda mind trick a.k.a. mind fuck finally takes hold }

I am now ever so overly optimistic about F3. After reading F3 previews until my eyes are bleeding I now know that if a NPC says something like, "I saw a mud-crab the other day.... horrible creatures". I can just go into VATS and tactically blow their heads off. Because pausing the game in VATS gives me a chance to think (take a breath) and decide what would my character do? How can I get the most out of my role-playing here?

Oblivion would have been even better than the best game ever if it had a feature like that. Being able to kill the NPCs adds tons of "role-playing" to a game. Now when I talk to that NPC I can 1) take the quest 2) not take the quest 3) exit the extensive dialog options or 4) enter into VATS and gib the NPCs head as if I were playing Quake. Wow I can't wait.

{drool runs out the corner of your mouth and you begin tapping your forehead against the nearest wall}

Honestly, they seem to be taking the role-playing part of a role-playing game ten times more serious than their last release. Of course they lied so many times in the dozens of previews and interviews leading up to Oblivion that we could compare them to the likes of Sony when they were hyping the release of the PS2/PS3.

But that whole FPS game-play angle just doesn't sound good or feel right when I am thinking about a Fallout title. That is going to be the Mother of all Jedi Mind Tricks if they can get even a quarter of the people who truly loved Fallout for what it was to play their version of Fallout and forget their first love.

Now if they would have named it Fallout: FPS with paused targeting and RPG elements I could probably except it a little easier. It would be a spin-off not a sequel.

Overwhelmingly positive? Brainwashing you say? Have you ever stopped and considered that maybe it's simply shaping up to be that good?
