I remember it being very satisfying (gore, blood splatter when you kill a xeno). There's a story mode with missions which plays like an RPG, and also an infinite mode where you have to survive as long as possible while an infinite amount of aliens keep coming after you. There are also segments where you get to drive a jeep (as you can see in that one screenie) and run over the aliens.

Spellcross, obviously. You can finally kill all the elves and orcs you wanted... with tanks. A pity it doesn't run on win 10 and nobody bothered with a remake.
