Seeing how Cleve was so proud of his skills as a programmer it is sad that Grimoire is yet to be finished today.

I bought Bane of the Cosmic Forge at the time because promo shots made it look like Dungeon Master.

Having played a bit of Bane and a lot more of Crusaders recently - I can only surmise the company went bankrupt because developers were on Cannabis most of the time.

Only saving grace seems to be Wiz 8 - which I assume were done by a different lot.

Zorba the Hutt Yes, that's him. He made an alt because we stopped his main account from creating new threads (which we did because he insisted on creating crappy one-line "megathreads" for every shovelware imaginable)

You just shut your mouth about bane of the cosmic forge. Also, dungeon master was kind of crap. Eye of the beholder is ten times better.

How much did Cleveland Mark Blakemore pay James Cameron to use the Terminator sequence on his indiegogo pitch? Or do we have another potential lawsuit drama?
Blakemore is clearly the greater genius, so Cameron should back down.

Also, before you ask, no, having a naked muscle guy in your promo video is not gay.

Are there any photos or video of the demo Cleve made that was at the Chicago convention?
I don't have any photos or footage(...yet), but I can definitely narrow it down to exactly what convention it was. I know it has to be the Consumer Electronics Show. Specifically, Summer 1994's CES.
Conveniently, 1994 was the last year Chicago had the summer CES hosted there. It was moved to my state in 1995.

1993 would have been too early, and anything after '94 couldn't have been in Chicago. So I just need to find full footage of Chicago's 1994 CES and skim through it I suppose. I checked a few gaming magazines and it does appear that a Wizardry game made an appearance:

But I'm unsure if this is stones of arnhem, maybe the author was just confused.

No footage though. Does mention Cleve by name.

The aboriginal theme is a dead giveaway. Though I wonder why they say Sir-Tech partnered with the European Delphine Software, when it was an Australian production.

There was a leaked script of the CES 1994 demo, showing that they would have custom characters with personality types & party banter like in Wizardry 8, plus digitized speech, which sounds extremely ambitious for 1994.

Considering that this was a group of failed actors, it's hardly surprising, though, isn't it? They probably didn't even think about the ambitiousness of it.

I'm p. sure the only previous actor that was involved in SoA was Max Phipps, the guy in Mad Max: The Road Warrior who tried to catch the boomerang and had his fingers cut off.
