First off, the crusade system, much like the kingdom mgt. in Kingmaker, are there just to add some flavour to the overall idea. I doubt that system will ever be improved past: "this is your units. these are their buffs" -> kill units "these are their buffs"
This is not a HoMM-like game.

Kingdom management is pretty quick once you get hang of things, so it's forgivable. You just pop in, do some events, skip time to advance further and then get back on track. Crusade is massive slog. Crusade not only dumps kingdom management on you but also forces you to fight these HoMM-knockoff battles. So you need to resolve the events and projects, enter multiple cities to build something, then recruit troops, then see them sloooowly walk over map, then sit through the braindead tactical fight, and only then you can get back to adventuring. A lot of time wasted just to add flavor to the game. And there isn't much flavor. Your party and MC don't even take parts in battles. Drones let by generic NPCs fight other drones let by generic NPCs. They don't even feel connected to you in any way.

In any case, I still think you're a cuck, to need a special thread to voice out your opinions in relative safety, instead of coming to the release one, and fighting the good fight and debate with your peers. Keep trying to change their minds. Make them see the truth - from your perspective, of course.
