11k for Gladius is because it was given away multiple times for free. Even though it's a WH40k game, Gladius is still pretty niche for one reason or another (probably not high budgeted enough for normies). But yeah, like I said before, I'm not entirely impressed with Zephon because it is Gladius but with less content. Old World is ironically a better 4X/wargame hybrid than Zephon.

I find the game pretty hard. I lose decidedly at medium difficulty, and have lost several times on easy. Playing as lost Prophet.

I had the same notions when I started the game, but the game is really as hard, or as easy, as you want it to be.
Make it easy: Align with either Acrin or Zephon asap. Acrin is probably better for starting player because he is seeking alliances, and gift ressources quite often.
Then, spend ressources to get allies, and align your allies with Acrin; They will not stand until endgame, but that buy you time, and with enough firepower, it deletes some of Zephon's bases (reavers are not an issue).
Now, when endgame comes, you get a massive alliance with ton of Titans on your side, which should be enough to deal with the competition.
Pay some mind to your habs/pop/loyalty, make sure you are in the positive with your ressources, and you're good to go.

Prophet might not be that good since the nerf and his starting units are the worst as a voice faction.
