Right after EA's nuBattlefront 2 got severely boycotted because of hiding half of the game's content behind a microtransaction paywall, Bungie's Destiny 2 got caught pulling a grindfest scam on the players. Here's what's happened:
1. Players caught Destiny 2 giving them far less experience for their grinding than it was supposed to. Where the GUI said 1000 XP per kill, the actual XP gained was less than 20% of that.
2. Bungie released a fake apology and a fix, which removed the discrepancy between stated and actual XP gained.
3. The same (((fix))) also doubled the amount of XP needed to level up (lul).
4. Outraged, players decided to boycott Destiny 2.
5. Bungie keeps releasing corporate lies, in a pathetic effort to save face. Everyone knows they were pushing their sheeple to pay for level ups, in a full-priced game no less.
Hopefully, the AAA game industry will fucking crash and burn entirely. Between lootbox gambling scams, grindfests, microtransactions and pay to win, it appears that AAA games have devolved into brain-dead vehicles for squeezing money out of people too dumb to notice that the shiny turd they are playing isn't fun.
At least in the days of Oblivion, the shiny, dumbed-down AAA turd didn't ask for an extra $10 for you to get to level 25.
