I think this goes far beyond just wining and dining some Youtube shitheads that would push their products zealously anyway. It's probably just a different version of what Microsoft got caught doing [telling people to advertise their products but pretend to be unaffiliated with Microsoft, this is highly unethical and is against FCC rules just fyi, and it will probably bite them in the ass sometime in the future]. I wonder if they verbally express themselves in Paris, with no papers telling Youtuber's to do whatever, if they can legally skate free or if they do get caught maybe the onus would be on the Youtubers more than the company itself?
