And better loot is of limited utility since skills are more important. By level 15 you'll be killing people with a sharp stick
Yes, which is why it isn't that good as sandbox Diablo either. I usually quit the game when daedric stuff starts to pop up on every corner.

Daedric stuff is super rare, except in Oblivion which is broken and doesn't count. Dunno what you're talking about.

Extremely rare? It seems you are the one with the brain fog here. After about 15-17th level i get all sorts of daedric shit, starting with daggers, bows and ending with armor parts. Of course, most of them were found around the volcano location, but there is no problem exploring those areas once you hit those levels.
I don't get what are you trying to say with the second sentence and i doubt you do either.
Btw, you look like substantially butthurt Boringwind fanboy at this point.

First non-Cosades character I think of when someone says "Morrowind" is Sugar-Lips Habasi.

Yeah, I remember her because I fucked up and sold an expensive piece of clothing meant for her to a shop vendor. If you remember, shopkeepers wear the most expensive clothing and armour you sell them, and won't sell it back.

Well, ok, so the daedric stuff drops mainly around the volcano area. It doesn't make them ''super rare items'. I gathered about few dozens of them in about few hours exploring that area. And you can go there fairly early in the game. You have a weird understanding of ''super rare''.
So yes, you are wrong.

How are they one of a kind, when you get showered in them at certain point in game? I couldn't even choose which one of them to use as their stats were so OP so i went with the most stylish ones.
My understanding of ''rare'' are when an item is extremely hard to get, whether it is guarded by high level entity or obtained by long sequence of difficult quests. Or hidden so well that there is odd chance to stumble over it without using walkthrough. Gothic series did this fairly well i think.
There is of course option not to roam the volcanic area until the late game, but that's yet another case of self induced larping to make the game suck less.

Generic Daedric weapons aren't particularly rare, not only are they found hand-placed in many areas, you can also farm them at Daedric ruins. If you dispose of the corpse there will be a respawn of the specific enemy that drops them.

Kill Daedra -> loot Daedric weapon -> dispose corpse -> cel transition -> rest -> rinse repeat.

Daedric armors and Daedric Face of X are rare.

You can also see here that the only way to get a Daedric tower shield is a random drop from a Golden Saint. Considering the variety of items a GS can drop, it would therefore take persistent farming, so this can be considered rare, too.

I don't really remember how much armor parts i got, but all sorts of axes, swords, daggers and bows were being dropped every 10 minutes of the gameplay at that area. I don'tthink i even needed better armor at that point, because those weapons just one-shotted most enemies anyway.

They are not unique items, but you won't hoard a pile of them unless you engage in cheesy farming behaviour, like in Lilura's example (I don't buy the "I was just walking around and they fell into my lap" argument). You find a few hidden in caves or vaults outside the red mountain region, and some are quest rewards. And the alternative to the "larping" (remember when this meant "pretending your character needs three meals a day"? I wonder when did this became a catch all term for "things I don't like") is an artificial barrier preventing you from finding them until you reach an arbitrary level, like Oblivion.

Daedric shit is everywhere in Morrowind once you get higher in level. I think all my characters have 100 random Daedric items sitting in their houses, waiting to see if I ever need money.

Yup, when the only way to get a complete set of armor is to abuse the shit out of Tel Fyr I would say they're pretty rare. Weapons are like Lilura said less rare but if you somehow manage to find them at an early or early mid level they're a great pain to deal with. Weighs a metric ton and you can never get their true worth in gold from any shopkeeper so if they're not your weapons of choice and you haven't got minmaxed strength or enhanced the shit out of your clothes daedric weapons are practically useless to you early on. It's pretty funny.

That was a kinda funny feature to see the armor dealer dressed in the armor i just sold him behind the counter..

Let me tell you about Morrowind. It's a shitty game, dumb-downing of the series, a real herald of decline. I can't understand why codex doesn't hate it with passion.

First. It has a shitty RPG system. Naw, I'm not a disciple of Sawyerity, but it's unbalanced as fuck and at the same time not fun at all. It is worse than Daggerfall system, 'cause you're guaranteed to have all skill maxed in Morrowind without any real effort. Daggerfall system is unbalanced as well, but it has a few cool features such as advantages/disadvantages, exploration skills (swimming, climbing), reputation system. It also has more interesting mechanic for level progression.

Second. Morrowind has a shitty combat. All Bethesda RPGs have a shitty combat. Still, Morrowind has the shitiest one. It's just a dumb clickfest. Different attack types (chop/slash/thrust) differ only in damage (e.g. in TES2 they also differ in accuracy), so there is no real reason to choose between them.

Third. Going into a dungeon in Daggerfall is scary. It feels real, it's a challenge. There are a lot of tunnels, switches, portals, pits, lakes, etc. Morrowind dungeons aren't even close in this matter. Moreover, while Morrowind is not procedurally generated, its interiors are even less unique than in previous games due excessive copy-paste. Most of its dungeons simply aren't interesting to explore.

Fourth. Almost every character in game has a personality of interactive kiosk. While there are some memorable characters, there are memorable not because of cool dialogs, but due their art design and/or role in the plot.

Fifth. A lot of cool stuff from TES2 disappeared. Horses, ships, banks, daedra summoning, covens - all are gone. Instead of this we've got LARPing and tourist simulation.

There are only two good things about Morrowind.

1. It has awesome art design, definitely best in series.
2. Michael Kirkbride did a really great job on lore with all these Sumerian allusions.

My experience as well. Had a table in my ''safe house'' specially reserved for that stuff. Hadn't explored even a half of island at that point.
Anyhow, weapon porn isn't the main problem. It's just that exploring gets boring after you realize that all these different locations/towns are just card board decorations with mennequin NPCs to whom you may dump your loot and receive generic quest nr 764. With dull combat to boot.

Wait, I thought Morrowind was a classic RPGCodex choice? Now it's a shit game? Since I think Daggerfall is a poorly designed FPS roguelike and Skyrim/Oblivion are popamole quality games... then with Morrowind being bad then I guess that means the whole series is terrible.

ps: Morrowind rpg elements were in fact shit. bad combat doesn't help either.

New found love for Morrowind seems to be relatively recent development in Codex. It seems that older it gets the more fond become memories of it. I blame newfags and dementia.
