Still wanna hear what pplz think of Omikron.
I liked it back in the day, but don't remember if I liked due to the story, crazy world or David Bowie songs. Maybe all, maybe neither. I was a 10 years old or something.

From the recent crop, I would add Senua's Sacrifice and Nier Automata to the storyfags hall of fame. And I'm starting a What Remains of Edith Finch play, so this could be a nominee too.

Alpha Centauri and Star Control 2

If we're not strictly talking about story, but rather about role-playing, then also American Truck Simulator and Sid Meier's Pirates! (remake)

The Warriors is fucking brilliant. Apart from probably being the best beat em up ever, the way they tie the story into the film (around first 2/3rds a prequeal, with the last 1/3rd playing through the movie) is fucking brilliant. Whenever folk take a peice of entertainment & expand on it rarely do you actually get anything which adds to that original film, whereas The Warriors really feels like what happened leading up to the film. Amazing stuff.

The Saboteur doesn't so much have a great story, but it's held together really well by the overall vibe & world.

Arkham Origins is fucking mint. The mid-story "love" scene is brilliant.

God of War was great IMO, with clever Greek Mythology tie ins & twists

Sanits Row 4 is just piss funny in parts

Alan Wake's a very nice story-driven game too
