So, which are the games that, no matter how many times you've played (and, posssibly, finished) them, you still keep coming back to - up to the point that some of them actually never leave your hard drive? Obviously, non-story driven games, such as simulation or strategy games, have an advantage here, but even those RPGs or adventure games you've played to death may have left such good memories that you can't help replaying them once in a while. My list :

- Civilization III : Conquests (the only civ game I've ever played. I've seen lots of reports that other civ games are better than III but I'm just content with it as it's the one I used to play as a kid)
- Close Combat (any game of the series really, though I tend to replay single player CC2 and CCTLD or CCLSA mods in MP most often)
- Achtung Spitfire (great top-down flying sim, see here)
- Tropico (great caribbean-themed island management sim. Play it with Paradise Island expansion)
- Crusader Kings (the first installment, with Deus Vult expansion and DVIP. Although the game's broken, I just love that interface and those medieval faces too much to move to CKII).
- Jagged Alliance 2 (best game ever made, I replay it with an old 1.13 version that doesn't have too much bullshit in it, and with APs leveled back to 25. I need to retry Urban Chaos though, great maps).
- TES III : Morrowind (I come back to it every 2 or 3 years and continue my old playthough where I've left it - still haven't finished the game once but I'll get there one day)
- Baldur's Gate (I or II, with mods and new parties each time)
- Vampire the Masquerade : Bloodlines (obligatory poster below)

PS: I wish I could put Fallout 1 and 2 here but I've played them too many times and opted for a no playthough policy until I've mostly forgotten the storylines and characters. Could take some time.. :(

TIE Fighter, Fallout New Vegas, KOTOR 2 and The Witcher 1 and 2 all get a replay every year or so. Bloodlines too, although not as much as the others.

I think in the future, The Witcher 3, Pillars of Eternity and the Shadowrun games will make it onto that list. You may as well ask people what their favourite games are, to be honest.

Much to my own disappointment I actually gave up on recent replays of Bloodlines and New Vegas, that I've just reinstalled.

And this is after I've spent like 20 hours getting all the right mods n shit to work.. I just.. eh couldn't get through it, not sure why.. got so many other games I wanna try out and real life. Schucks!

Fallout 1/2
Duke Nukem 3d
GTA series
Brutal Doom
KKND
Diablo 1/2
Warcraft 2
Starcraft & BW

Before I started playing chronologically:
Gold Box games
Baldur's Gate 1-2
Icewind Dale
Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic
Thief 1-2
Oblivion (spending more time tweaking with mods than playing)

Now:
Master of Orion
Heroes of Might&Magic 2

X-Com mostly. Others have dropped off a bit with time but they're Mafia, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Homeworld, Hitman: Blood Money. These are more or less my favorite games.

Rollercoaster Tycoon 2
Planescape Torment
King's Bounty or Age of Wonders: SM

Jedi Outcast is only game that never leaves my HDD. The rest I've reinstalled a million times depending on mood.

Crusader Kings 2 (my true "default" game for the past couple years.)
Everquest P1999 (when I just want to chill out and phase out.)
Blood Bowl 2 (used to be 1 now it's 2. Mostly single player stuff and OCC binges)
Baldur's Gate 1 (modded, non EE version. I just feel the need usually once or twice a year)

Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield
Civ IV
TF2

I don't really replay RPGs much. :M
