iTunes blocking Codex referrals?

When I click this link on the Codex: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id639544885

I get this:

As you can see, iTunes automatically appends a referral code to the URL, like so: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id639544885&partnerId=30&siteID=je6NUbpObpQ-uK03VJGmCdbtoth07BM0VQ

It seems to change slightly each time.

Outside of the Codex, the link works fine. What gives?
