Video games are priced at precisely the amount consumers are willing to pay. If a company wishes to charge more or less their gambit's success will be judged by copies sold. This is a trial-and-error approach that is sometimes referred to as "the free market". It's not surprising that the pinko commies at Polygon can't into capitalism 101, or that you in particular would create a topic with an unarchived link to share this "news".
