  • Welcome to rpgcodex.net, a site dedicated to discussing computer based role-playing games in a free and open fashion. We're less strict than other forums, but please refer to the rules.

"This message is awaiting moderator approval": All new users must pass through our moderation queue before they will be able to post normally. Until your account has "passed" your posts will only be visible to yourself (and moderators) until they are approved. Give us a week to get around to approving / deleting / ignoring your mundane opinion on crap before hassling us about it. Once you have passed the moderation period (think of it as a test), you will be able to post normally, just like all the other retards.

What's the definition of rpgcodex?

Dumbfucks are a prerequisite of diversity. Google is trying(and failing) real hard to bring high IQ diversity to their ranks, but those pesky white males still outnumber vibrant folk.

So how high must one's IQ be to sniff their dog's dick instead of bringing it to a vet?

This place is full of diversity.

True diversity is when diversity of opinions are allowed, something those advocating diversity most zealously don't allow. Like for example the wanker from RPS:

"Free speech" is the protection from government sanction for voicing or otherwise expressing opinions concerning the government. It is not, and never has been, in any part of the world, a carte blanche to freely insult or disrespect other individuals. The official stance on which is that it can be resolved amongst individuals. The fact that RPGCodex engages in such derogatory comments as a matter of course has nothing to do with "Free speech" and everything to do with sycophantry and anti-intellectualism.

The solution to which, for most users of the internet, is to ignore the place. Which is why such vitriol is arises when people try to use the place as an example of anything other than what it is.

Free speech is exactly the right to insult and be disrespectful to others (as long as it's not slander or otherwise illegal).
And that talk about ignoring this place is funny. Why not use the Ignore button instead of the Cry-to-Mod button if you don't like what someone says? If people mostly shit post, just hit Ignore and it's like they don't exist anymore. So much easier and less work for everybody than playing net-nanny.
I've seen a growing trend of people getting more and more obsessive about what words other people use. Soon it will be a a worse crime to "stigmatise" or "generalise" someone than to hurt them physically.

This, except the last part. "Slander" was invented by the butthurtfeelings and words-are-bullets crowd and the best solution to "illegal" speech (whatever it may mean) is more speech, not less of it.

That's why Codex is so glorious - because here being an evil retard is not only legal but brofisty.

Imagine the real world being like that.:desu:

Well, the laws of slander does protect against people freely being able to ruin your life by spreading lies about you.

In the US it only applies if the person actually does economic damage to you.

It's getting pretty bad. In my little sister's elementary school, they're teaching the kids, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can hurt me." At first I was confused and asked her, "Are sure it's not 'words can't hurt me?'". She replies, "It is definitely 'words can hurt me'".

A bully hit me with an adverb to the gut.It still hurts.

Worse than that 2 years ago me and a friend were walking down the street.Got caught in a drive by argument. He took a pronoun to the head.Died in my arms.

That doesn't even make sense in that context.

Then again elementary school teachers aren't exactly the brightest. They are teaching 7 and 8 year olds how to draw inside lines for a reason instead of teaching a more challenging subject.

The upcoming generation of kids is going to be completely fucked in the head. "But... But... I'M A PRECIOUS FLOWER!"

Sometimes I wonder if this isn't how Rome fell. The barbarians didn't use swords, in reality they ran in with a library of nasty adjectives and the citizens capitulated.

This place is full of diversity.

True diversity is when diversity of opinions are allowed, something those advocating diversity most zealously don't allow. Like for example the wanker from RPS:

Their ideas about discourse are eerily Ministry-of-Truthy (or whichever ministry Winston worked in).
