There is even straight white males in this forum, just imagine that.
Dumbfucks are a prerequisite of diversity. Google is trying(and failing) real hard to bring high IQ diversity to their ranks, but those pesky white males still outnumber vibrant folk. There is even straight white males in this forum, just imagine that.

"Free speech" is the protection from government sanction for voicing or otherwise expressing opinions concerning the government. It is not, and never has been, in any part of the world, a carte blanche to freely insult or disrespect other individuals. The official stance on which is that it can be resolved amongst individuals. The fact that RPGCodex engages in such derogatory comments as a matter of course has nothing to do with "Free speech" and everything to do with sycophantry and anti-intellectualism.
The solution to which, for most users of the internet, is to ignore the place. Which is why such vitriol is arises when people try to use the place as an example of anything other than what it is.
Free speech is exactly the right to insult and be disrespectful to others (as long as it's not slander or otherwise illegal).
In the US it only applies if the person actually does economic damage to you.Well, the laws of slander does protect against people freely being able to ruin your life by spreading lies about you.
It's getting pretty bad. In my little sister's elementary school, they're teaching the kids, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can hurt me." At first I was confused and asked her, "Are sure it's not 'words can't hurt me?'". She replies, "It is definitely 'words can hurt me'".
The upcoming generation of kids is going to be completely fucked in the head. "But... But... I'M A PRECIOUS FLOWER!"It's getting pretty bad. Their ideas about discourse are eerily Ministry-of-Truthy (or whichever ministry Winston worked in). This place is full of diversity.
True diversity is when diversity of opinions are allowed, something those advocating diversity most zealously don't allow. Like for example the wanker from RPS:

And that talk about ignoring this place is funny. Why not use the Ignore button instead of the Cry-to-Mod button if you don't like what someone says? If people mostly shit post, just hit Ignore and it's like they don't exist anymore. So much easier and less work for everybody than playing net-nanny.
I've seen a growing trend of people getting more and more obsessive about what words other people use. Soon it will be a a worse crime to "stigmatise" or "generalise" someone than to hurt them physically.
