What the title says. What, if any, is your most shameful cosmetic purchase for a game.

Note: If you spent 1000 dollars on a skin and you are okay with it then power to ya. I am referring strictly things you feel bad about.

So me first.

I LOVE ARKHAM HORROR THIS MUCH

So I spent 10 bucks on shiny dice.

I actually spent more on other things but I always look at these damn dice as my most
decadent first world purchase.
Heh, And I thought that I was the only one that bought that AH dice set. I also bought several figures of the same game, and sleeves for all the cards in both the main game and the expansion I own.

For digital cosmetic purchases, I own all the DLCs for several Paradox games, but most of them I bought when they were on sale.

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
My most shameful cosmetic purchase is probably my only cosmetic purchases: Various hats and misc. items in TF2 back in the day. My Demoman is pretty blinged, yo.

All in all I'd say I spent some tens of dollars on it, but have recouped most of it by selling other TF2 items.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Did it killed your pc?

I remember entering the door to some dungeon. Then, after some time the door magically closed. That was the last straw, and I pressed uninstall.exe.
And after that, there was nothing, only black emptiness of space...

Myth II had something similar

Myth II installer bug

The original version of the Myth II: Soulblighter contained a serious bug. The bug was that the CD contained an uninstaller which would remove Myth from a computer by deleting the directory in which it had been installed. If the user had overridden the default and installed Myth to the root level of his hard drive, the uninstaller would delete the entire contents of the user's hard drive.

This bug was caught after Myth II CDs had been sent out and also duplicated and boxed to ship to stores. Bungie employees went to the factory, tore open the boxes, and replaced the faulty CDs with new CDs on which the uninstaller bug had been fixed. Luckily, only the marketing person who discovered the bug had his hard drive wiped. Martin O' Donnell confirmed all this data in an episode of the Bungie Podcast.

At least it was fixed earlier and no damage has been done. Also, it was a great game.

My fellow men, I have something to confess.

I bought all the DLCs, except Horse Lords, for CK2 and spent almost $200 on MWO....

What is an suitable punishment for my crimes?

I bought that Japanese day cream once that was totally overpriced.
This remids me.
There was that lovely lipstick, just the right shade of pink, you know what pink.
When put on felt very smooth and gave that wet glittering that drives boys crazy.
Gosh, it was so slutty that it makes me blush but I loved it so much.

Play MWO every day for 2 hours before going to bed for a month.

I bought some "wide load" or whatever trailers for ETS2. One of them has a helicopter on it.

Provided that MWO stands for Mechwarrior Online, playing this shit with random queue is a suitable punishment on its own.

I might have 'bought' some CS:GO skins for a negligible price...

I believe this 'Sand Dune' skin cost me 0.03 Steam cents at one point...
Cents that I gained selling Broken Age card packs to people who actually cared about that sort of thing at a significant price I may add...

Still got a few (steam) dollars hanging around from selling cards that I could care less about... what cosmetic purchase could be next??

I used to deal hats in TF2.

I stopped when I got Bill's hat, because I realized this is pretty much as far as I'm going without putting serious cash into collecting.

This remids me.
There was that lovely lipstick, just the right shade of pink, you know what pink.
When put on felt very smooth and gave that wet glittering that drives boys crazy.
Gosh, it was so slutty that it makes me blush but I loved it so much.

I bought some alternate outfits for Mass Effect 2, but given that I'd already had to go through the EA Origin store to get ME2 in the first place any further humiliations were strictly loose change. Same applies for horse armour, so I'm obviously not a learning animal.

Also Dead State collectors box. In my defence I was still caught up in kickstarter hysteria at the time. Still haven't received it. Don't care - game and developers written off. Hey, I feel much lighter now - I could almost bare to go outside....
