games you have installed on steam RIGHT NOW (no cheating)

No cheating, you say? That's a shame, but maybe someone gets triggered reading the unaltered list anyway, so it's worth a try.

Preview Baldur's Gate 3 Gameplay Reveal, Previews and Interviews

Since I didn't manage to play D:OS2 that much I might as well wait for this Divinity: Origins D&D Module, right? *You have told Sven that you'd buy his product even if every dialogue line was written in future continuous*

Game News Baldur's Gate 3 gameplay to be revealed at PAX East on February 27th

Well, she thinks that I'm an old fart who prefers his cRPGs served on a cold plate of unintuitive combat mechanics along with a hefty meatloaf of meaningful narrative choices, sprinkled with an option to completely screw myself over as early as in the character creation menu. And BG3 is not...

Game News Baldur's Gate 3 gameplay to be revealed at PAX East on February 27th

Good point, now I think it looks more like a lvl design thingy, not necessarily tied to any fixed perspective. Anyway, a friend of mine who works at a studio which was used by Larian as an outsourcing outlet told me not to get too excited for BG3, but I'm afraid I cannot help it...

Game News Baldur's Gate 3 gameplay to be revealed at PAX East on February 27th

https://imgur.com/LkxNzTB Isometric + turn-based combat confirmed? Or at least an option to toggle between RtWP/TB? Pretty, pretty please? Edit: apparently I don't know how to embed images, but you get the glimpse of gameplay screen from the "announcement of the announcement" video at 0:23

Game News Baldur's Gate 3 announced at Google Stadia Connect event

Well, the logical next step (business-side) for Larian is to cater to the age group 20+, that is people who are bored with standard AAA games and would like different, albeit not too much different gameplay. I fully expect more focus on multiplayer, some sub-par jokes and no connections to...

Company News RPGPOCALYPSE: Obsidian and inXile have been acquired by Microsoft

The only good thing that may come out of this (apart from the staff getting paid on time I guess) is that Feargus' mismanagement and nepotism will face a dramatic backlash from the corporate rats faster than he expressed his excitement for joining the great "Microsoft's family" in the Obsidian's...

Game News First details about Pillars of Eternity II Seeker, Slayer, Survivor DLC at PCGamesN

All DLCs are supposed to be played before the main story wraps up, no? If so, I'm a bit worried about the level adjustment regarding these arena encounters, I've already massively outleveled most of the content in my only half-finished Deadfire playthrough (all scaling up). Also, whereas...

CRPG Developers on the Future of the Genre

My most beloved papamole gaming site posted an article about the future of cRPGs It has absolutely astonishing quotes from Fargo & CO, claiming that and as a result it is necessary to insert mucho mucho if one wishes to create a cRPG masterpiece. Undercooked top-down Battle Royale with...

Icewind Dale The Icewind Dale Series Thread

On the other hand, solo play is more fun in self-imposed challenge modes, like solo no reload. I remember the glorious days on old Bioware forums with people posting their playthroughs, it was a good read. Basically when soloing in that way one mishap = daed game It was more popular with BG...

    Grimoire Thread

Glad to hear that! I also see that Grimoire does not bow to the Gaben's Steam sale shenanigans, which is a good indicator :obviously:

Help me make Skyrim not suck

A little torture porn mod here and there won't hurt, if you know what I mean, and there are some quality ones out there for true aficionados :shittydog:

Baldur's Gate The Baldur's Gate Series Thread

I must admit that I even let M'Khiin join my recent mostly-solo trilogy run, and the only thing that bugged me big time was her rapid departure. Just before the final-final SoD act (which seemed like an undercooked and badly executed afterthought, to be honest) she just mumbled something in the...

The question remains, is Grimoire on par with the Eye of Beholder? If so, I can temporarily close one of the shrines in my basement

Icewind Dale The Icewind Dale Series Thread

I'd say that with kits + XP scaling from harder difficulties switched on the game gets way easy way too fast. In the present version of IWD EE they let you scale the XP gain while leaving dmg bonus as it should be, but if I remember correctly it hasn't always been the case
