Love the visual style, reminiscent of a boardgame with terrain pieces. Added to watchlist.

KickStarter BATTLETECH - turn-based mech combat from Harebrained Schemes

Yeah, it's the load I'm worried about - I've had other unity games try to melt my PC. I'll give this one a pass until I've got something better to run it on. Thanks for the feedback.

Just a one question from newbie/retard/Slav.

Thank you kindly - I'll be going with definition (1), since I clearly am one.

KickStarter BATTLETECH - turn-based mech combat from Harebrained Schemes

I've heard complaints about crashes & bugs, which fits my experience of Unity. What's the codex opinion ? wait till patched, wait for sale, or wait till hell freezes over ?

Turn-Based Tactics Shadow Watch, a year 2000 squad turn based strategy RPG.

Good writeup, thanks ! Agree with the panic/beserk mechanic being kinda odd, but I remember having a lot of fun with this game anyway. AFAIR you can also play custom missions after you've finished the main campaign, although these may just be reusing the main mission maps. Also, $5 on GoG. Nice.

Well, since this is the closest thing I can find to a newbie thread.... what the heck is a grognard ?
