The Americans do much of the innovation in cloud, big data, IoT, online payments, artificial intelligence, drones, and other new high technologies, and the Europeans just import it from there.

And the places where the Europeans are excellent at, like transportation and communication technologies, they are already very saturated. Compared to Latin America, where those things are still new and under development.

Really, as much as I would love to have a cosmopolitan life living in Barcelona, Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Milan, it seems Europe is just a place where people are caretakers and not pioneers. Europe is a large number of people fighting for a small number of jobs that are not going to change the world.
