you start the game off as a buffed-out, gun-toting, surly brute of a guy named Syd who spends most of the game diving behind various forms of cover and exchanging fire with increasingly bizarre enemies. And, like Gears, Syd is frequently accompanied by burly AI allies, as well as Filena, his extremely lithe female sidekick. Quantum Theory's gameplay is pretty straightforward, and it should be immediately familiar to anyone who's spent any time with a cover shooter before: you choose a weapon, get behind some sort of structure, and pop up every once in a while to kill something.

IS MOLES IN GAME?????!!

Isn't this the game with the jRPG boss fight? The one who speaks to you in text boxes, stands immobile in one spot, has an oversized sword, is turn based and chooses his attacks through a Menu with such options as Attack, Magic, Defend etc.?

I would buy this game if you played as Steven Hawking.

Shit would be so rad.

The sequel should be THE RISE OF ENTHROPY

Galactic chaos is spreading across the universe and guess what, Entropy is behind it. Battle against the biggest enemy of the cosmos and emerge victorious. Hide behind cover to avoid Entropy's energy beams and pop up occasionally to shoot it with your rocket launcher. You slutty female sidekick, Extropy, will be at your side to lick your wounds and clean your "guns".

:salute:

Apparently Japanese developers have been trying to sell the concept of cover shooters to their gamers for quite a while now (with the added incentive of their games selling better outside of Japan of course). I've seen a few interviews that confirmed that they're actively trying to artificially create a market for console shooters (especially FPS) from scratch.

That was Return of Matt Hazard. I thought it was a pretty decent game, but my join date is 2010.

A lithe female sidekick?

That's marketing speak for she'll have a nice butt and huge tits. Probably wrapped up in leather with a zipper that's barely keeping everything in check.

Should be good.
