alright, shameless plug. But i'm working as a mission designer for this project and I'm pretty excited, so i figured i'd invite my codexers to come take a look and give me some guff about it.

check it

Also, i wrote a devlog here that you should check out.
It's typical fluff, but it's honest and gives a decent feel for what we're aiming for with the missions in the game.

I checked out the site and it seems a bit like Ground Hog Day. Players win or lose ports and then the game gets reset. I much prefer the idea of pirates competing against the powers of the day. If I and my friends win a port it should be ours forever, or until we lose it.

I hope you eventually allow crafting, as a player run economy can be good fun if it's done correctly, plus it gives players lots of roleplaying opportunities.

Anyway goodluck with the venture, it's good to see a new mmo without Elves.

Shepardizing caselaw with the F5 button.
Yeah! Ive signed up for the beta awhile back and even spoke to some of the designers at the Austin Games Conference.

In the questionnaire I said I wanted to be a French officer or an English merchant.

The only downside is that the ship battles are done full RPG-style (based on stats and not twitch)...but even that's not such a bad thing.

Good luck with the project!
