As you have stood beside the roadside commotion and looked at the people gathered, you have understood that the argument was a heated one. By your guess, it could come to blows if no one mediated between the merchants. To hide your intentions, you have asked one of the bystanders, "What happened?", the reply confirmed what you have already heard. And so, you have pulled at the reins of your mount and walked back, towards the back of one of the wagons stopped on the byroad. After looking around to make sure no one would see you, you have slowly pulled back the canvas hanging on the back of the wagon and peered inside. Unfortunately, you have seen nothing that you could steal.

Disappointed, you have mounted your steed and rode onwards, to Ashen Gate.

The road towards the nearest settlement east of Bleak Haven was a long one. The route meandered between hills and ended up following a river, the current of which was flowing towards the coast. Without anything to do nor to think of, you have wondered whether the northern route would have been a better choice. Yet there was no point of thinking of that which had already happened.

You have ridden for the better part of the day and the evening began enveloping the land in a slow and majestic way which couldn't be seen in a town the sort of your place of birth. Used to being awake during the night, you have continued your journey.

Before long, you have seen walls on the horison.
