2014 is turning out to be a great year for both new gamers and retro enthusiasts, as not only did we have classic games like Ambermoon, Deuteros and Shadow of the Beast Legacy to play, but awesome AAA games such as Alien and Wolfenstein: New Order. So it's with great pleasure to announce that the 1993 hit classic "Day of the Tentacle" is getting an unofficial remake!

What the fuck is this bullshit. These mockups are exactly the same as the actual game, only somewhat uglier and prove nothing.

Also DoTT is perfect as it is and can be played perfectly in any goddamn platform. This is complete rubbish.

It would be great if you could buy the original though. At least I don't know if you can still buy it somewhere.

It is quite a bit easier to play it via scummVM than it was to play the old DOS version.

Also, this project is pointless and should die a quiet death.

There are any number of points of attack here, but here's the one I'll take: "STORY: 24%" Are they rewriting the story? And how to do you quantify it to a single percentage point?

Maybe this is a ploy to get Disney to finish and release the DoTT HD version they're keeping somewhere. Or at least the original.

Why do all of these remakes think that smoothing out the corners of pixel art and putting blur filters on stuff makes it look better? It makes it look far less natural, especially for a Lucas Arts game since I always felt Lucas stuff worked very well within the limits of pixel art and took advantage of it with their strange proportions and perspectives. The screenshots of that remake just look like poorly done MS paint jobs.

Total word count.

At least that's what I seriously hope, because that would mean they aren't touching the story and they are just porting the original one to whatever new engine they're using.

What a pointless remake. Probably even more than that Fate of Atlantis one.

Codex 2014 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy
The only parts of DoTT that could use updating is doing something for the graphics to make them less pixellated (which filters can do) and upsample the voice sound quality, if possible.

Beyond that it's good to go. 20 years later and it's still going strong.
