This mod for D2 looks very promising.

I cant find my Diablo 2 cds so I cant test it yet. Anyone tried it?

Features:
o New skill trees with 25 + 5 brand new skills per class.
Bored with Blessed Hammer? Median 2008 offers brand new skill trees for your pleasure. Each class has 25 main skills, 1 attribute challenge skill, 1 level challenge skill and 3 uberskills.

o Improved and modified monster AI and attack types.
When was the last time a frog killed you? Monster AI has been overhauled, and many monsters have learned various new tricks. From quill rats with homing spikes to invisible templars, the monsters will pose a much tougher challenge.

o 18 + 1 new uberquests for high level characters.
Forget Battle.net and 'Uber Tristram', Median 2008 has 12 + 1 more uberbosses and 6 special uberlevels for high level characters. Defeating them on the highest difficulty yields powerful unique charms.

o Redone all base items, implemented 6 quality tiers.
No more exceptional and elite items. There are now six tiers of item quality, each with better stats (and higher requirements) than the last. All items have been rebalanced. Rumours persist of even stronger Sacred items...

o New affix pool with many new and special properties.
Many items spawn with random sockets, including magical, rare, set and unique items. The affix pool for magic and rare items has been redesigned and now offers much more variety. There are many new item properties, like freeze thorns and bonuses to minion life and damage.

o An assortment of new runewords and cube recipes.
There are exactly 490 runewords, and enough crafting recipes to make Rubik cry. However, unlike in many other mods, you do not need to know hundreds of pages of cube recipes just to play the game.

o An assortment of new uniques and sets.
Median 2008 features 430 new uniques, and 28 new sets. Many of the uniques and all of the sets can only drop in special difficult areas.

o Attribute/level challenges for expert players.
If the mod is too easy for you, you can attempt the attribute challenges in Median 2008 - reach certain milestones using only half of your attribute points for a special reward. Level challenges, in turn, reward you for being very low level.

o Rebalanced drop rates to make good items more common.
You may actually see a Zod now.

o And much more...
